If and when the transfer embargo is lifted he could be a good signing for us. An old transfer target of Jones and at 6foot1 might be a good back up to Bothroyd and fit in with our style of play.

Yeah probably not at that level, I think he broke his leg quite badly and has struggled since. But I think Jones could improve him and give him confidence like other players and he could get back to his best.

Deffo one of DJ's long admired players. Although like people have said, he's not been the same since his broken leg and is surplus to requirements at QPR.

The guy needs games to get any confidence back, and we couldnt offer him that. He would be better backup than we have though!

A loan with a view to a permanent deal (if he regains form) would be a good deal for us. Although, I think he'l drop down a level to play week in, week out.

I cant really comment on Jarvis, ive basically never seen him play. Is he as good as some on here say he is, or are you one of his mates? hehe

Surely he's not ready to step up to 1st team football yet though?

I think he could be ready.

I'm not one of his mates, I don't even know him, he did go to my school though... hehe

I'm being serious, though, he looked very sharp against Notts County, and I didn't go to Bath and I know it's not much considering the opposition, but I've heard he did well there, too. He has loads of pace and could do something this season! thumbup

Vine would be a good signing, he can cut it at this level, but i think he got an injury a couple years back.
If Jones could get him back firing, i think we'd have the two best target men in the Championship.

(That's if we get him of course)

I hope we're not stuck with Jarvis.
He might be a local lad, and only a kid, but he is nowhere near a league player. Worse than both Etuhu and Magennis

At least Eddie tried hard, and could play a bit.
By the end of his spell with us he started to gain confidence and wasn't completely awful, unlike Magennis and Etuhu. OK, Eddie was a massive waste of money, and a joke, but I'd rather him over anyone else we've got or had.
Eddie or Feeney? Please!
Magennis couldn't trap a bag of cement, Etuhu has no brain, and from what I've seen in Academy games of Jarvis, he can't cut the mustard. But I bow down to Sam the Bluebird's superior knowledge, as he went to the same school as him hehe

OK Sam, I will bet you a tenner that Magennis and Etuhu go on to have better careers than Jarvis.
Etuhu certainly. Magennis could go either way, but all 3 are far from Championship footballers

If he was avaliable for free and on a reasonable wage, I'd consider resigning him. Although for nothing like what he was supposedly on during his first spell!
However, if Feeney was on 7.5k, what do I know!

Etuhu is a decent player, just can't play the target man role up front. He was class at Forest away on the wing also other games but never gotmuch of a chance. I have alot of faith that he will make it in the Championship at minimum.

Completely agree with you mate. Those people who say that Etuhu is crap have not got a clue. He is a terrific player, why would Man City have given him a brand new contract before he joined us on loan and then tell us that we had no chance of signing him on a permanent deal. For a start, Kelvin Etuhu is NOT a target man, he is a winger, end of story. When he was with us he had a few really bad injuries and did not have a decent enough run in the side in his best position, on the wing. I remember when he first had that long injury and he returned away at Middlesbrough and cam on as a sub. He played on the wing in that game and he was brilliant, he looked confident and the player he was when he was at Man City, he should have won man of the match for that game, even thought he only played about an hour. Then obviously he had that second really bad injury during the Middlesbrough game and he was out for a few months yet again. Since that injury when he did play for us it was up front. So I think the reason why he was un-successful here was a combination of playing out of position, a few bad injuries and a huge lack of confidence. I would have him back in a heartbeat cause I know he can do the business, especially when fully fit and playing on the wing. If he does leave Man City he will most likely sign for a smaller Premiership club or a big Championship club, I definitely think that he has an exciting career ahead of him, wherever he plays.

Agree, if we got a bad injury to Burke or Whitts or sold either, I'd enquire about Etuhu straightaway, just tell him not to go sliding into the advertising boards again. That ankle injury kept him out for well over half the season in the end.

Actually, if it's true that the embargo is lifted, we should get him back anyway as our only cover for the wings is McCormack, maybe Matthews. If he re-signed it would be majorly unpopular with most of our fans after his playoff final performance (out of position), but that's why they are fans and not managers. Yann Kermorgant, sorry, but, just f*ck off? All you ever do is f*cking stalk me and reply to my posts all the time and try your best to take the piss out of me?

When did I bum him? When did I pretend I knew him?

You fool, I just said 'I don't know him'. homer

In my opinion he is a good player. Does that mean I bum him and pretend I know him? No. I've seen him play and he looks quality.

'I want Eddie back'-

Superior knowledge? Don't act like I don't know anything about football mate. I've never claimed to know more than you have, either...?

In my opinion he is a good player and could have a good career- respect my opinion instead of making such ridiculous statements? Thanks.
