Kind of did a bit. He's 17 too, hardly a feckin child. If somebody'd booted me in the ribs as a 17 year old I wouldn't want adults being all outraged about it because I'm a "kid."

Maybe not, but it certainly suggests he might take part in some gamesmanship.

Is it okay to kick a footballer when he dives? Is it okay to kick a goal keeper when he bounces the ball several times to waste time? So why is okay to kick a kid when he dives and wastes time.

And his twitter picture is him holding a can of Strongbow. He describes himself as a lad.
He is not some innocent little kid and what he done was blatant cheating.
The kick was not malicious and was only meant to release the ball.

He didn't get kicked, the kid fakes it, hence the gamesmanship. The ball got kicked and then the kid uses it to his advantage.
He's got one job to do and that is recover the ball for the team, no point in comparing it to people in the crowd as they aren't there to get the ball back into play.

If thats true then why did he not scuff the floor to release the ball. His foot was angled up as if to catch both the kid and the football.

Ball boys job is to get the ball into play, not obstruct a player trying to get the ball then roll around on it all poncey. Not entirely convinced he got much if any of the boot.

For me the fact that this was premeditated and now out in the public domain is a big issue. There's bound to be some low level club involvement in it - possibly no more than " slow the game down by delaying the return of the ball to play if we're winning" .
It would be no different anywhere else in such cirumstances. At some grounds the ball boys seem very well drilled.
Hazard will get a ban, its statutory and he deserves it not least for being so stupid in doing it in the first place. I hope its a 3 game ban and recognises a degree of provacation - I wont hold my breath though.
As for the game, Swansea were superb. I've never been particularly impressed by their " passing game " at times I find it very tedious. But whats impressed me over the last 2 years is their absolute organisation and unbelievable work rate. The one thing that stood out for me was their second at Chelsea. There was no luck in that, 90 minutes winning 1-0 nil in the away leg and they were pressing so high up the field they forced that mistake. I cant think of another team who would have had anyone in the Chelsea half at that point of that game.
One things for cert we have to go up this year and as Champions would be nice. That will at least give us some credit following the glory of their certain cup triumph and the first qualification of a welsh club for europe on proper merit. Although they must have been fairly close in that first season in the first division at the beginning of the eighties. I remember them being top of the table well into March - that was real scary moment

I thought everyone knew he was time wasting? I can't wait to hear Jason Robert's view, on 606 he was saying doing anything to win was accepted as part of the modern game (with the regards to the Cole incident against Arsenal). Kicking a teenager is wrong though, even if he did deserve it.

Do agree with the post's sentiment though, kid made an absolute meal of nothing, if he's so hard with his underage can of Bow on Twitter, why didn't he get up and square up to him?

If I was in a pub and a 17 year took my pint from me and wouldn't give it back, he'd get more than a nudge in the ribs. Maybe I should be calmer and wait for the barman to sort it out or for him to give it back but I wouldn't.
