I'm voting for Alistair Brownlee.
What he done for his brother that day was something special.

Suprised Bale didn't even appear in a film from home, he must be in Cardiff for Crimbo

Disagree LB. Murray used to have the personality of a damp rag a few years back but I think he's developed one. He has a stab at humour and even though he's not everyone's cup of tea, for a tennis player he's positively Graham Norton compared with Tim Henman or Buster Mottram.
Agree that the term "personality" might put him behind many sportsmen/women but his sporting achievements put him streets ahead of the others nominated.
Perhaps the award title needs reviewing?

While Adam peaty had a great year and his swim at the Olympics was as good as it gets
surely Bale with his performances had done better ? ? ?

Bale represents Wales, and not Britain, so people aren't going to vote for him.

Middle class sports are a shoe in frankly.
It isn't so much a vote for genuine achievement. More a vote for someone to represent the UK.
Steven Gerrad came 3rd after istanbul :xmashehe:
Behind freddie flintoff for the ashes and ellen macarthur.

Re: Sports Personality of the Year...
The thing that struck me was that, apart from the olympics, pretty much every clip had "pictures from sky sports/BT sport" added to them.
I love spoty, or rather used to love it, and I'm all in favour of "free TV" but the fact that BBC continues to host this show smacks of irony to me.

Then again, thank goodness it still does I suppose. Despite it's current shortcomings regards impartiality and news accuracy, the BBC do have some idea about programming standards and have some decent presenters.
Re: Sports Personality of the Year...
Mark Selby should have been nominated. World champion and UK champion.
If he wins the masters next month that is the triple crown.
Shocking he wasn't involved, and a sport bbc cover too.
