33 to 35c Shrewsbury Tuesday
....according to Met Office. Around 28c at 7pm kick off. Could be uncomfortable for travel and the match itself. Could this be the first match called off due to the heat?

Call a game off because its 28 degrees !! They are professional footballers. On that basis they wouldn't play any games in July or August. Don't think you would last five minutes in Qatar

The fans won’t get any drinks breaks in Qatar.

It will be an "experience". Not often Shrewsbury and Qatar get a mention in the same context.

It’s only two days too, quite looking forward to the thunder storm and cooler weather that will follow

30c at 7pm forecast for Shrewsbury now. 36c at mid afternoon. Let's hope the roads don't melt.

2003 European heatwave. Killed thousands. I was in France at the start the heatwave doing the Disney thing with the family. Years later I used it as a case study of a high pressure weather event when teaching weather and climate. Stats were appalling. Without looking it up, in UK alone, some 3000 heat related deaths.

There you have it, folks. Forget the Met Office. Forget the BBC. In fact, forget any and all weather reports. ToTaL ITK has the knowledge. He’s totally in the know where the weather in Wales is concerned. You can rely on him.

From BBC website:
"East Midlands Railway, Hull Trains, LNR, Lumo, East Coast Main Line, West Midlands Railways, Chiltern Railways and Transport for Wales all said they are operating a reduced service"
If travelling by rail to Shrewsbury tomorrow, you may find trains have been cancelled and/or ticket sales suspended.
Official advice is not to travel, unless necessary. 16c by us first thing is now 27c and rising.

Re: 33 to 35c Shrewsbury Tuesday
8pm kick off now, rather than 7pm.

Sensible. Could mess up travel plans though. Also means driving home in the dark through thunderstorms if Met Office are correct in their forecast. Such fun.
