Escaped lynx shot dead for ****s sake
Shameful
If they got close enough to shoot it , they could have darted it and returned it to the zoo alive and well
Bet the bloody farmers were moaning about a few sheep the animal may or may not have attacked and the local council decided she was a risk to public safety !!! What a joke , she's not a big cat ff sake , she was probably more scared of people !
Local zoo is outdated and rightly so

Re: Escaped lynx shot dead for ****s sake
Is that your Modus Operandi with the ladies get close enough and dart them ?

Re: Escaped lynx shot dead for ****s sake
Zoo’s are outdated as well.
Pissed me right off this morning when I read that.
On another note it’s high time we see Farage and all the other fox hunting kents getting charged with illegal slaughter.
Been getting away with it for years, unfortunately it’ll fall on deaf ears whilst the Torys are in power.

Fox hunting is a ****ing disgrace
The number of lambs .....which we slaughter to eat once they are old enough .....killed by foxes is nothing compared to those stillborn or lost due to the cold

Probaby wearing Lynx to attract them.
Disgraceful though, we imprison an animal for our amusement, when it has the audacity to follow it's natural instincts and escape we kill it. Us humans eh?

Yes, shot. If you consider that humane.
I agree with Sludge, again, that the farmers who run Ceredigion no doubt been moaning to their councillors. This poor animal, barely larger than a cat was no threat to humans or sheep.
Bastards.
I visit Borth a lot in the summer. I will make a bee line, so to speak, for the zoo. These people who have only owned it a few months deserve support, even I do have reservations about zoos.

Well .. indeed.
Hard to know what to think, or where the problem starts with this one, but the poor ol Big Puss did not deserve to have it's life terminated, that is for sure.

A tranquilizer dart takes at least 10 minutes to take effect, a scaredy cat can cover a fair distance in 10 mins.
An Eurasian lynx can bring down wild boar, chamois, young moose, roe deer, red deer, and reindeer.
So it's not a little pussy cat.
What would you have said if it had attacked a child?
Shooting it dead was the right call.

Someone putting a bullet in you would most certainly be the right call

So you would be happy to let a killing machine roam around? I've already posted the size of prey they take down.
The people who shot it knew the danger it posed.

Re: Escaped lynx shot dead for ****s sake
It was cornered and murdered on a caravan park. They are fecking empty at this time of year. I am pretty sure its the one almost next door to the zoo. I've stayed on there. Saw a few pussies but never a big cat!

It's easy for you to say that, you don't live in the area.
Would you feel the same if it was let loose near your kids?
