Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
We don't do well when Mr Webb refs us.
Home loss to Reading this season, away loss to Wigan and home draw to Millwall last season.
Didn't we have a stonewall pelanty not given at Wigan ?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Assume Vaulks, Glatzel and Murphy to start

It'll be who's least knackered. Ojo will start, with Glatzel up top for Moore who was out on his feet at the end. No real alternative to Vaulks coming in for Ralls who ran himself ragged. Would like to change Bacuna as well but we have no real alternative without shuffling the 'pack' so to speak.

We know midfield of Vaulks and Pack doesn't work. It was completely stupid to allow key players to run for 90 minutes rather than rest them from 77 for this reason.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
We made 3 substitutions last night. But yes many of our players must be shattered. Agree with Harris stating 5 subs should be allowed in the EFL due to the fixture congestion in this truncated season. Also but for Sky, our team would have had almost 24 hours additional recovery by playing on Saturday ahead of the international break.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Crazy 5 subs is not allowed.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
The extra subsitutes at the end of last season was a big bonus for us as we had a big squad. Would help us now as our squad is still bigger than most. I suspect it was rejected because a lot of teams in the EFL just dont have the numbers and would have been relying on youngsters, which perhaps would not have been fair.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Ojo on the right with Wilson in the centre. I expect Glatzel will start up top.
Ralls and Pack will just have to suck it up as there's no decent cover.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
I don't buy that the players need resting, i can play 3 games a week in my mid 40's, and tipping over 100kg on the scale, sometimes having supped a bottle of wine at lunch as well. Full professionals with the boffins, science and diets etc can defiantly do it.
Same line up as the other day. 442 narrow wide man with full backs over-lapping (well Bennett)

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Well kinda surprised with that lineup. 3 of them won’t make 60 mins if Tuesday was anything to go by

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Wurzels playing with 3 up front

Interesting stat - tonight is our 4,500th game within the English football pyramid (so league, playoffs and cups).

No, not including southern league seasons. We won our 4,000th game at home 4-0 to Doncaster, drew our 3,500th at home to Rochdale. The last time we lost one of these was our 2,000th game - to Bristol City (away 2-0 under Scoular).

I must be way out of touch with players’ names nowadays, barely recognise any Bristol players, no doubt other fans are as equally ignorant regarding our line ups.

Could see that coming a mile away, Bennett left with 2 on 1

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
What The Actual F**k was that defending all about??
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Looked sloppy by Bennett giving the ball to them under little pressure.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
