I quite liked the Rumours version of Fleetwood Mac, but I much preferred the Peter Green version.
This was a great song, but it also said much about Peter Green's frame of mind at the time;-

RIP
Even before this news broke, I was playing some early Fleetwood Mac vinyl,
Great, influential artist.
RIP.
Ditto re preferring the blues version of FM.
Sad to hear about the passing of one of the truly great all-time guitarists. Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, one of the greatest bands among so many, to emerge in the 60s

R.I.P Peter, one the truly all-time great guitarists
This was a superb documentary - well worth watching if it is repeated over the next few days;-

Very sad to hear that the great and tormented Peter Green has died. He was in my opinion one of the truely great guitarists, composer and singer. R.I.P Peter.
Peter Green was indeed a genius and when people talk about Fleetwood Mac, it's that original line up that immediately springs to my mind. The ''Americanised' version were undoubtedly very good but for me the real FM ceased to be once Peter Green left the band.
The musical legacy that he leaves behind is considerable and in many ways timeless. I'm not sure if it's still available but their greatest hits album is fantastic and contains classics such as Albatross, Man of the World, Green Manalishi, Oh Well, Black Magic Woman, Need Your Love So Bad and many more. Just brilliant.
RIP Peter Green. So sad to lose you.
