Thousands of supporters will descend on the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday night when Chris Coleman’s team host Moldova in their opening match on the road to World Cup 2018 in Russia, with many more tuning in at home.
Ahead of the game both emergency services are reinforcing the key message of Drink Less Enjoy More as the national side aim to build on their performance at Euro 2016.
Wales’s recent success is a big cause for celebration and of course we want everyone to enjoy themselves.
However, we would ask fans who are planning on drinking to do so responsibly and make sure that we are kept free to attend to those facing genuine life-threatening emergencies.
Wales supporters rightly earned a positive reputation at Euro 2016 and there are a number of ways in which you can help us.
One is by alternating alcoholic drinks with water and keeping track of much you’ve had. Plan ahead to make sure you know how you’re getting home and also look after your friends and those around you.

What a fecking cheek, apart from the eggers over drinking,crapping in the streets,groping young ladies,their wives wait at home with their suitcase packed ready for their overnight stay in hospital following their trip to the UHW after being battered by their roider,egger spouse

You're spot on there. The Dilwyns, inflamed after four pints of Albright, can't wait to get home to drop-kick their wives over the garden fence. A & E departments at all South Wales locations are like field hospitals at the Somme.

Surely that should be drink more, enjoy more! Everyone knows a load of beer before a game of football makes it a lot more of a laugh. Even when you have to go for a piss and miss the winning goal. Or losing goal.

Even though rugby fans get messy and scrap when pissed I don't think Rugby has ever witnessed the type of trouble generated by Swansea and Cardiff fans over the years. The underlying threat of agro is a lot more sinister when football fans get together. Rugby fans are a lot less intimidating IME.
That said, in light of the good vibes generated at the euros and violence-free fun had by all, it might be a tad over the top. They are probably just covering their tracks.
