He'll struggle to get a job now, although he did OK at Derby.

Probably needed 2 or 3 season :hehe:

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham
Ridiculous really, both them sacking Eustace at the time/ hiring Rooney and now sacking him so early .
You obviously saw enough to give him the job, 83 days is nothing.

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham
only won 2 games there, and one was against us  the other was Sheffield Wednesday at home q

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham

My bluenose colleagues want Eustace back, they never agreed with the original decision & never got behind Rooney.

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham
Was always a strange appointment but if they are going to invest in players now’s the time to replace him.

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham
“No fear” football went well didn’t it

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham
That's what you get when going for a big name as manager. Gerrard the same at Aston Villa. Having said that Brum were good value for their win against us.

Re: Rooney sacked by Birmingham

would £4m be out of our budget? as this is exactly the type of signing we should be looking at, as opposed to 30 year olds.

£4m totally unaffordable for us.

Yep, it went well for us when we got Ole The Useless/Clueless one in.

That was probably our lowest point. We surely won’t witness anything worse this season.

Cardiff or Bergamo? Tough call. Serie A and the Europa League too. I think we could have got him if Eustace stayed, that was Rooney’s one redeeming feature from a Birmingham perspective.
I hope he doesn’t go and sit in the stands though. He needs to be playing
