We are aligned with our Special Relationship partner and ally on this.
We are I am sure but it's an embarrasing climb down for the mandarins that got this so so wrong.

The only thing that matters is the defeat of ISIS. And getting the whole region under control again. Oh for the days when we just had a gang of dictators to deal with with rather than swathes of religious nut cases wanting to execute babies in the name of their 'allah' and some peado prophpet
Syria is a lose lose situation.
- Assad stays in power, in the official Syrian borders recognised by the world. The rebels probably continue random acts of violence.
- Syria is split up. Then you legitimise terrorist rebels and give them far too much power.
I cannot imagine Iraq allowing Sunni head chopping rebels to form a government of any kind. Or control any type of region.

The Yanks have no authority in Syria. They have no business being there. Their forces' presence there is illegal as they broke international law. They can do what they want as their military budget is larger than the rest of the world's combined. That ambassador's remarks is typical of their breathtaking audacity. Their politicians, along with British ones, crawl on all fours to Israel, a country that should be Earth's number one pariah state instead of North Korea.
