FT: Denmark 2 - 0 Wales. Match thread
What to do? I predict a few changes, to see if those left out respond to the challenge. It would be really crazy to go with the same team, although it would be exciting!

I think I would stick with the 11. Unless giggs changes the system but I think he has said a 433 is his preference. The players have just looked very sharp together.
Bale Ramsey Davies and Allen are undroppable I can't see who else you can leave out. I just think maybe Rambo and Allen won't push as far forward.
Denmark are a solid team who can punish teams I think it's a case of not going all guns blazing
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
Will be interesting to see if Giggs goes at 'em like the Ireland game or if he sees their hand first and keeps a card or 2 up his sleeve.
I'd go with a similar side to see if it was a one off and also DK won't have had much time to analyse and prep (though Zenith may have helped them in that respect).
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
I'd stick with the same team if everyone feels alright.
Reward the players who did so well.
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
He may drop one of Brooks or Lawrence to bring in Chester for a 3-4-3, but Ampadu's versatility to drop from midfield into a back three is telling me he'll either go with the same side, or change Williams in favour of Chester.
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
Just seen on Twitter that Ashley Williams is not in the squad and is replaced by Ben Woodburn.
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
Hennessey
Gunter Chester Mepham Davies
-----------Ampadu
--------Allen Ramsey
Brooks Bale Lawrence
A 4-3-3 that can change to a 4-2-3-1 or go to 3/5 at the back at a moment's notice. Despite his age Ampadu is already key for Wales, its almost as scary as it is exciting
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
Could go with Wilson Bale and Woodburn up top

Isn’t it nice to have such options. We have not had this before.

Woodburn wasn't even in the squad and most people would have expected him to be starting by now 12 months ago.

Any idea what's wrong with Williams?

He saw Grangetown blues thread and had enough.

Just rested, to save playing 2 games in 3 days.

This will transform us as a team, we will be able to change formations on the fly without making any substitutions. We will be incredibly fluid, and if you add the 4 up front constantly changing positions, the opposition won't have a clue what we are up to. Even the full-backs can go up front if they want. Either Giggs is a genius, or he has absolutely no idea what he is doing

I think Ampadu might start cos he was taken off early on Thursday when the game was won.

Woodburn is settling into a new club and hasn't been playing much this season. I reckon he'll get a runout if he has been added to the squad. He's good in tight spaces.
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
Ampadu must start. He was so instrumental, and it’s not like he’s playing regularly at Chelsea, we should be building the team around him.
Re: Starting lineup v Denmark
This is my prediction, but there are hundreds of variations Giggs could go with:
Hennessey
Gunter Chester Mepham
Roberts.....Ampadu.....Allen.....Davies
Ramsey..........Lawrence
Bale

I'd play Brooks for his pace, and he likes to run the from deeper positions.

My work is almost done.
Made my trip over here even more sweeter!
I wonder what's wrong with him? Maybe his fake dreads started unraveling, (just like his career), and he got rushed to a hairdressers.
Going to celebrate with a £6 Carlsberg!
Welshmen for Wales :wales:

Agree with this. Bale as captain.
