US police fire 137 rounds into a car
To put this into some sort of context, 137 rounds of ammunition used to stop one car, was three times as much ammunition as the entire German police force used in one whole year.

Nowhere does the 'article' state the cops knew they were unarmed before they let rip.

The question remains at what point when firing bullets into a car do you realise that you're the only people firing anything at all?

There are approximately 87 deaths a day on average from shooting incidents in the states and American police forces kill about 1,200 of their fellow Americans every year.

And this is a country that is horrified at the sight of a nipple. Even the crack of people's arses on The Jerry Springer Show is pixellated.

I would have thought that most people would consider such massive use of lethal force akin to an execution.
The right to (have an excuse to) blow each others 'brains' out is in their constitution.

It's the most natural thing in the world to stand on the bonnet of a car and fire 46 bullets through the windscreen.

Regardless, you've put a statement in the title that is a lie.

The storeman diddled them out of 13 bullets.
Sack him.

Re: US police fire 137 rounds into a car
Watched a film on the shooting of Oscar Grant in Oakland California by the police the other day. He was executed in cold blood in front of many witnesses.
The police man that shot him said he thought he had his taser in his hand and not his gun.
The policeman lost his job and ended up dong two years in prison.
Oscar Grant was lying on his face with his hands handcuffed behind his back.

Re: US police fire 137 rounds into a car
A couple of years ago in California cops looking for two black armed robbers fired about 80 rounds into a car occupied by two Asian women who were delivering newspapers.
American cops are so trigger happy, it's best to just be as compliant as possible should you ever get stopped by one.

Police brutality and callousness on the part of the police, may just increase, as the social divisions in American society just become wider and wider.

Also, if/when the US govt try to take guns from the people, there will probably be much social unrest and lots of killing of (legally) armed citizens.
