All of a sudden, there's football everywhere!
Three live matches on BT Sports, Wales v Scotland from 1979 (the Toshack hat trick match) on BBC Wales, it's almost like a proper Saturday afternoon! I'll watch the Wales match later, for now it's Dortmund v Schalke. I wasn't sure what to expect, but up to now, it's a decent game which is lacking none of the usual competitiveness.

Beautiful goal just now by Dortmund with the celebration showing the first change I've seen so far from "old" football.

Schalke look terrible tbh.

I'll give Dortmund credit for the quality of football they're showing, I think they'd make plenty of teams look ordinary - Leipzig losing at home.

2-0, Dortmund are quality NQAT, but someone should tell Schalke they are not expected to be following social distancing rules on the pitch!

According to Gluey, who is something of a fan, Ampadu is injured.

Yeah, Dortmund 3-0 up now and I can see them scoring more.

Watching Hertha at Hoffenheim. Hertha have just gone 2 up. No huge noticeable change in celebrations!

I'm a fan of Nagelsmann and I have learned a lot about modern football tactics this season, and Leipzig are an enjoyable team to watch.
For the record, Leipzig update player status every day, including the type of injury and expected recovery time.
Now 1-1

A 'live' match from 1979? :sherlock:

Re: All of a sudden, there's football everywhere!
Watched the Dortmund Schalke game and one thing I found striking today was the total lack of play acting.
It could be that these are two very clean teams intent on playing the game the right way but to me it shows that a crowd can and does have huge influence on decisions.
Decent enough game if a bit one sided and obviously no crowds kills it somewhat as spectacle meaning, for me, the quality teams should win nearly every time.

What's it like watching a live football match played behind closed doors?

I'm watching Spurs and I guess Wigan from god-knows-when? Roberto Martinez is on the touchline. There's no graphics. Crouch and Defoe are playing for Spurs. 'Arry's there too.
