Another reason for a Welsh cricket team

Last I saw on this, the ICC had decided on a reduction of teams competing in the fifty overs games World Cup - this seems to completely contradict the sort of thinking which brought about that decision.

I think the only way a Welsh national team would become feasible is if Wales qualified Glamorgan players were able to be included and then you'd face the possibility of us being deemed to be no longer eligible to play in the English system as we do now. There is a Wales team which plays in the Minor Counties Championship, but I'd say they'd get relegated from this proposed league pretty quickly - I think Wales would struggle to stay up even with Glamorgan players in the team.
