Two Former City Players on the Bench v Man City in UCL Tonight
Rabbi Matondo and Guido Burgstaller on the bench for Schalke.
I wonder how many ex-City players have gone on to play in the knockout/latter stages of the Champions League/European Cup...
Toshack & Ramsey are the only ones that immediately come to mind.

I didn't think about loanees. In that case, Schmeichel and Drinkwater got to the quarters with Leicester a few years ago.

Incredible to think he wasn’t good enough for Cardiff because he was shit and then goes and wins a champions league medal :hehe:

This ref is in Real Madrid's pocket methinks. Disgrace
Re: Two Former City Players on the Bench v Man City in UCL Tonight
Celtic would have got the out of the group stages while Ledley was there too, I'd imagine.

Would Loovens and maybe Matthews and flood been with Celtic in the knockouts as well?

Invite ref on show
Frame half time discussion around 'controversy'
Ref tells you it was clear penalty, not controversial and explains why
Interrupt him by saying 'well these 3 ex players who have actually played the game disagree' and cut him off
Pretty typically shit behaviour

I just had a look. Celtic have only qualified for the knockout stages once since 2007/2008 - in 2012-13. They played Juve in the 'round of 16' and lost on aggregate. Matthews and Ledley both played

To be honest he was talking nonsense so I'm glad they knocked him off

An ex Llanelli player managed a European Cup winning club & an ex City player managed a club that reached the European Cup semi final.

I don't trust them experts

Well... I missed most of the game because of being on here. That's depressing.
