January Transfer Window...
I read elsewhere that we are on the same points and position as our 2013 promotion season.
What signings (if any) do you think Warnock should consider during the window, bearing in mind FFP and the fact Warnock himself isn’t keen on signing players during this period ?
Re: January Transfer Window...
A proper defensive midfielder is all we really need and maybe a fullback if injuries dont clear up.

To be honest Im happy with what we have - as long as Bogal steps up - which he seems to be able to.
What is Ward supposedly good at? I realise that he perhaps hasn't had the best supply as yet.
Re: January Transfer Window...
I tend to agree unless you are going to sign £5m+ players it is difficult to see how you can improve the squad, just a couple of positions, FB, MF as back up.
Possibly a goal poacher, if Healey was fit he may fit the bill.
Re: January Transfer Window...
Defensive midfielder. Ledley preferably. Would allow Bamba to play at centre back then.

With Kadeem due back too. Ward can play on the right if need be. I’d say we are looking good.
Re: January Transfer Window...
More pace in midfield , box to box player .

It looks like, when fit, we will have Jazz Richards, Peltier and Connolly being able to play on either side, so unless we could find someone significantly better than those three who was prepared to be back up, I think we are well provided for.

None of those three look comfortable at left back, I'd rather a specialist left back, or at least someone left footed
Re: January Transfer Window...
Gunnar should be sold if he doesnt sign a new deal. Therefore a DM. Id also sign a back up left back.. Other than that leave it as it is.

Pilkington, Halford, Feeney and Richards can go
A LB to compete with Bennett a DM (Ledley?) and a winger is all we need
If Bennett is injured or suspended, then we have a proper left sided player to play in their natural position
Ledley isn't better than what we currently have but would do a decent job as back up
A winger to go along with Kadeem Harris to support NML and Junior, means we've got support and two players at least all around the park
Re: January Transfer Window...
If we're aiming for promotion at the time, then we have to look at what we need in the Premier League. Our inability to keep the ball in midfield will be ruthlessly exposed if we won promotion, as is our lack of replacement for Gunnarsson (maybe off in the summer anyway), so centre midfield needs rethinking. We need goals and more potency up front. Zohore is important to the way we play, I can't see Ward or Bogle being top flight strikers, so another will be needed. At the back I think we're ok.
Re: January Transfer Window...
Ledley was out injured Saturday and Derby lost for the first time since his arrival, no better than we have, you are joking?

Agree. Keep the ball down and I think he scores goals. Hard to compete against 2 big millwall defenders with the ball going in the air.
I think we have enough, but to be greedy, a defensive minded midfielder and a winger once Feeney goes back.
Re: January Transfer Window...
A better version of Liam Feeney please
Re: January Transfer Window...
Defensive midfielder who can go box to box and gives us the energy in parts of the field where we sometimes struggle against committed opposition

I'm certain this will happen. Think a winger to strengthen the squad will be priority no.1. and it's my guess that this has been the thought since the last window closed.
We are not desperate in any other position. I understand the calls for a DM but we have enough CMs but the issue is perhaps players who were brought in to player deeper are now seen as better utilised higher up the pitch. I'm thinking of Bryson and Damour in particular here.
If we can clear out players who aren't playing then there maybe room for more. Bids for some players may alter our thinking. If we are being idealist you could say we have three good natural right backs and only one natural left back, but Jazz can comfortably deputise on the left so it's hardly a concern.
If there is money it might be nice to take a long term strategy and sign some 19-22 year olds with the future in mind. Tyler Roberts's contract is running out in the summer. He can play on the winger though looks a natural no.9. :-)

I'd class Bryson and Damour as 'box to box' personally rather than defensive minded (only my opinion)
I don't see why Ralls would be dropped, but if like to see something like Gunnar as the one to sit back, Damour box to box and Tomlin with the creativity yo go down the middle and it takes the eyes off the wingers..who Tomlin can play in at his leisure...
I understand that's FM fantasy to some but it's hardly far fetched and is within our means...
Re: January Transfer Window...
a 20 goal a season player please
If he could squeeze them into this season for us from jan, that would be tidy aswell
