Both correct.

Mark Jones, David Mail, Noel Blake and Paul Birch are the others. Those Youth Cup finals are always interesting to look back on, a real mix of future superstars, journeymen and rejects. Gilligan and Farrington pop up in other early 80s finals.

All correct, as is Gary Bennett.
Agree with you about the teams for Youth Cup Finals - there were plenty who played lots of first team matches for Man City in their team.

I was at that 5-2 game in 1980 and thought I was watching a real star of the future in Mark Walters who was a different class to every one else on the pitch - he ended with a good career, but, based on what I saw from him that night, I expected more from him.

Yes, a bit inconsistent as I remember. Never quite at the right club at the right time either.
This bit of skill is terrific. Only Scottish football but a great turn all the same, shame there wasn't a goal at the end of it.

In a way that's a microcosm of his career - fantastic ability, but the finish to cap it all off was missing.
This is a good video of him as well, with plenty of skill there, but what surprised me a bit was his pace - that one part where he's accelerating away from a Celtic player while having the ball at his feet is something you don't see very often.
