Jurgen Klopp is not happy with Chris Coleman
Klopp is having a moan about Coleman not contacting him first about calling up Ben Woodburn to the Wales squad. He then goes on to say that the call up has come too early.
He's not the first and he won't be the last manager moaning about his players being selected for international duty.

Re: Jurgen Klopp is not happy with Chris Coleman
So Klopp thinks Woodburn is ready for the PL but not international duty? Woodburn won't start on Friday night but he may come on late on in the game. Bale debuted at a younger age than Woodburn and its not exactly done him any harm.

I don't know how these things work but would presume that you have to contact the club to inform them of your intention to call up their player. Is Klopp therefore aggrieved because Liverpool didn't inform him before the official announcement having given the go ahead or did he want further contact from Coleman in this instance?
Perhaps it's part of the modern world that club managers now wish for an additional call when youth players are called up and perhaps this is something for the FAW to take on board, however I struggle to believe that our set-up isn't doing everything right by the player (and by extension his club) given how exciting his potential is. We seem to have done an enormous amount of work to ensure that top clubs know that their players will be treated to a high standard and, in light of this, it's not favourable to have high profile managers question our approach especially when the media seem to report without running a critical eye over their comments - I'm looking at you Arsene Wenger.

He's got far to much to say for himself these days ,who does he think he is .

The Premiership is a tougher challenge than most of the international fixtures.

I think he has a fair point with this, whilst Coleman has every right to select him, good management would have involved a courtesy call. can see a Ryan Giggs non appearance sequence in future with Klopp playing the Alex Ferguson part.

The fergie thing was only allowed to happen because Giggs didn't care about Wales.
If he wanted to play then he would have done.
How many of the English players did Fergie do it with.
The buck stops with Giggs.
Bloke's a shithouse.
Just ask his brother.

It's ironic that Klopp is so obsessed with protecting Ben from the media, yet he's causing a bit of a stir with these comments.
Although with that said, He doesn't seem too unhappy really. He said is it a problem, no. He also said now they share the responsibility of his development which is good. It's fair enough he expected a call from Coleman but it's not a terrible thing that he wasn't called either.
