I wanted to vote for Dai Kerslake, but had to settle for Dai Jones.

Re: Best City manager since the millennium
Went for Malky. Sad to see Lennie with no votes though.

Re: Best City manager since the millennium
Neil Warnock is a great man manager, not such a great tactician though.
Has done us proud with getting the team out of the bottom of the table, in the long term I wish Trollope had been more successful as his style of football would have been a little more pleasing to the eye. A mixture of Warnock and Trollope would have been perfect.

My choice too.

Re: Best City manager since the millennium
I see that someone's voted for OGS.
Presumably a jack.

Re: Best City manager since the millennium
The managers with the most votes have spent the most money, I'm sure any manager would be pretty successful if he was given millions to spend. Poll's not worth a cup of cold pith.

Dave Jones spent very little. Built the best "entertaining" and footballing side seen in a very long time, probably since the Scoular days.

Warnock has won us a few games due to shrewd tactical decisions recently.
Just because his football is a bit "industrial" at times doesnt mean he isn't a good tactician.

He's also made some clever subs and changes, that has brought us points. He knows how to set up teams to do "jobs" on sides too, such as Saturday.

I wonder who voted for Slade...
I voted for Dave Jones, easily the most entertaining side out of our recent attempts and took us to a cup final

Re: Best City manager since the millennium
Mackay got given money but people forget he took over a team with a senior squad of about 12 players if I remember correctly?.
Buying Gunnarsson on a FREE TRANSFER and other steals that he gets little credit for.
Gestede for free.
Mason for 250 grand.
Kadeem for 150 grand.
Craig Conway - Free
Andrew Taylor - Free. And he was a good servant before anyone says otherwise.
That was just in 2011. He changed everything.

Agree with this.
Yet again the Dave Jones spent little myth is mentioned.
I cant believe hes heading this poll.

It shows no one except you rates Slade.
Warnock has spent not one penny and gets 22% of the vote.

Sure he had a fair few misses, but he had some resounding hits

I would love to know the signing on fees and wages of some of his signings including expensive loans Fowler , JFH , Sinclair , Koumas , Bellamy , Olofinjana , Eddie Johnson , J Lloyd Samuel , Bywater.
Jones spent more than enough.
He also left us a small squad which Malky turned into winners.
