I liked it, but I'm far from an expert when it comes to songs from this decade.

It was a great song, but then so was this.
Very difficult to choose song of the decade. As usual, it’s all about opinions
nope...as ive never heard it before your link
There ARE no great songs this decade.
:old: :hide:
I managed to watch two minutes of it. Verdict: monotonous and instantly forgettable.
I like it but I'm not sure it is the song of the decade.
I remember the video was posted on this board when it first came out - can't remember who did it - and there was a thread discussing it. That was and is very unusual for a new song release, and is some evidence that it was different and made an impression even then.
I've just looked at the 100 best selling songs from 2010-2019 in the UK and of the list I like the no31 Mariah Carey with All I want for Christmas and no41 The Pogues with The fairytale of New York. The rest are god awful. Quite sad in a way.
The top 3 songs are generic sh1t by Ed Sheeran which is utter dirge for morons

Even the categories are ridiculous.
It's an OK song. It doesn't say a lot for the last 10 years though does it? I understand she's huge in the UK. She's not such a big deal here. She made a catastrophic live appearance on TV and I think it turned a lot of people off.
Not for everyone, but this is much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK2FqPNIT_U
So is this in my opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_JM
Best song is the one which sold the most. Thats the only measurable in music the rest is just opinion.
Or should put stuff like this in the census.
I'm not at all acquainted with the current music scene but what I have heard leaves me totally unimpressed. However, if I was to pick a song of the decade, I would probably plump for All of Me by John Legend, which is a superbly crafted piece of work. Strange choice for me as I'm more of a Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull follower but it is a classy song.
Never heard of her until I saw this clip commemorating the life and music of Leonard Cohen.
