The killer for me, though, is the style of football. It is absolutely shocking. I am no tactical genius, but pay me £30k a year and I could send a team out to play that way. There are still talented footballers in that squad, but if all Slade can do is tell them to hoof it up field and get after it, then he has to go. I see absolutely no evidence that he has a plan B and therefore he has to go.
Reduced budgets are fine, football from the dark ages is not!
