Haven't watched much of Wimbledon this year
But what a game at the moment Isner and Anderson 11 all in the fifth set.
5 hours on court. And this is after Anderson beat Federer something like 13-11 last round

19-19 now, this is going to go on forever

Finally a break of serve in the 49th game of the set. Unbelieve.
Re: Haven't watched much of Wimbledon this year
Surely they've got to change the rules after this. Let them go to 10-10 and play a tie-break to 10.

They were both absolutely fecked and Anderson got a final in 2 days.

Whoever wins this one is the Champion.
The quality of these two are leagues above the match we've just seen.

I went to red button and watched the boys' semi-final betweeh the fifth seed Columbian and an unseeded Brit called Jack Draper. Incredible match which Draper won 19-17! in the final set.

Change the rules? Games like this are what make the sport so addictive.
I can remember when there were no tie-breaks and you could have any number (up to 5 lol) of sets like this.

Stopped at 11 PM. They have to come back tomorrow and finish it. And the way they're playing it could easily be another long 5th set!!!!

I'm in India, 4 1/2 hours ahead - I had a late one, couldn't stop watching though. Unbelievable

It makes you wonder about fitness levels when professional footballers are too knackered to play an extra 30 minutes, and that's allowing for the fact that they aren't fully involved in the play for all f the noimal 90.

I had this debate last night with a mate who brought up the exact same thing.
Without doing any scientific research, I'd say that it was down to the fact that a footballer is constantly on the move.
Whilst showing unbelievable levels of fitness both mental and physical, tennis players do have a lot of breaks and are walking/resting in between points.
Re: Haven't watched much of Wimbledon this year
Over the years I often heard people claim they weren't sports fans. This would be quickly followed up with 'I like tennis and show jumping."
Enough said.

This is a very good point. Tennis at this level requires incredible fitness levels. A five set men’s game will last four hours more yet they keep going.

In 11 hours of tennis, Isner covered 8km. Some players run that in a single half of football.

Djokovic just beat Nadal in another epic. Makes it easy to miss the final as not a fan of former.
Nadal had his chances bit always playing catchup having served second in the set.

Some incredible rallies. They've both still got the magic inside them.
