Joe Mason released by Wolvesaloa
What a waste of what promised to be a talent
Re: Joe Mason released by Wolvesaloa
At times he looked the real deal and destined to great things
Then at times ( a pre season friendly at Bath for example ) he looked like he had never played the game before
very strange
Re: Joe Mason released by Wolvesaloa
Still scored one of my favourite ever goals & caused mayhem & delirium at Wembley
Re: Joe Mason released by Wolvesaloa
forgot about him...
fraizer campbell another 1 who scores goals...
but you could put anthony martial in our squad and he would be soon shipped off to barry town on a free

Still only 27 years old.

Considering he's scored just 10 goals since he left us 3 years ago, I don't think he does.

Ben Turner had his contract at Burton cancelled by mutual consent yesterday.
Re: Joe Mason released by Wolvesaloa
It's worth remembering that other clubs to us make similar mis-judgements paying well over the odds for very average players.
JM knew did leave a few lasting memories from his time with us, then again so did Andy Campbell, but very one paced and would never cut it in the prem.

Never looked like had anything to make a decent championship player his finishing was ok but the rest average. Think he just had a bit spell for us expect to see him in league 1 scoring 12 goals a season

According to some posters Neil Warnock reads this forum. Please don't give him ideas.

Turner hits Paterson with the diagonal, knocked down to the oncoming Halford who plays in Mason who slots it through the keeper's legs
This tactic will keep us up

I’m sure he’ll make it lower championship or league 1 level.
I was never a fan but never saw the same potential others did

Reminds me a bit of Rhys Healy, looks promising, takes up decent positions but ultimately doesn't possess that something needed in order to make the difference-We seem to have had a few players like that in recent years-Healy, Zohore, Harris and Mason-Just waiting for them to make that great leap forward while still considering them 'young prospects' when they most certainly aren't.
