Looks like best/only option other than Patterson until the summer.

And what would he have done to improve things? They've flooded their defence and Paterson has spent half of his time tracking back into midfield and out wide to make up the numbers. Even Tomlin has dropped deep. Service from out wide has been almost non existent and any time we have tried to play through the middle we've been hopelessly outnumbered. We need to get our full backs further forward and match them for numbers up at that end of the pitch. A striker along with Paterson would be good as well, not instead of. Reading are doing a good defensive job.

We just need better footballers. Reading are pressing the man on the ball like their lives depend on it. The only way we're going to score at the moment is through a set piece. I wouldn't be surprised if Harris goes direct second half.

Yes. They've been the better team off the ball, looked sharper in the attacking third and worked harder.
This feels a bit like after the Lord Mayor's show after Tuesday's win.

If we are being pressed and we can’t cope with it then direct will be a good option

As long as you have the support to get second balls.

A striker up top instead of Paterson was my point, he does well as a 10 but I just don't like him up top, ok he's scored, but so has flint from that position, doesn't make him a striker.
