some remarkable stats in this thread, they have absolutely taken the piss for decades.
ultimately any privatisation where the consumer doesn't have a choice over their supplier is doomed to failure.

I think telecoms is usually held up as a good example. and there is pretty good competition in that market.

I think it was a bit before my team but didn't Megabus or National Express used to be owned by the government? I could be talking rubbish.
But to be fair that privatisation has worked well.
