They're everywhere, but I love 'em !
Spiders. Last couple of weeks I seem to walk into light cobwebs wherever I go. Never seen/felt so many, must be the perfect storm with ideal weather conditions...

Great web designers in fairness.

September is spider month. It’s where the males come looking for a mate.

Still not enough of 'em though.
I thought their webs were supposed to catch flies but I have had so many bites this year.
Many turned septic.
I dont remember being bitten so much, if at all, as a kid.

Last night had the biggest house spider I've ever seen, about the same size as a DVD

Warmer climate - more insects.
last winter was ridiculously mild, I can only remember scraping ice off my car about twice.
The thing I've seen a lt of this year is Hornets, more this year than the rest of my life put together

Same here. One set of bites were the itchiest I've ever experienced. Ended up going to the chemist to get some advice.

I've seen one the size of a cd but not as big as that.

Spiders can only grow to a certain size, something to do with their organs being able to cope.Only problem is is that size is fecking massive.

spiders and insects don't have lungs because of their exoskeleton, so they just absorb oxygen through their "skin", rather than breathing it in. if they get too big they can't get enough oxygen into their muscles. also eventually the exoskeleton wouldn't be able to support its own weight
