Agree their performance was excellent and, even better, guaranteed a quarter-final place a game early. They could not do it in better style but don't get carried away, Australia were poor.
Huge credit to Gatland for preparing the boys in red but Ireland, South Africa and hosts, France, are streets ahead of Wales at the moment.
Having said that, a semi-final place beckons and when you get that far, you've a chance.
They were fantastic. That was a stand out performance.
It's rugby
It really doesn't matter
Three weeks until the QF’s?
The tournament group stages were extended because of the criticism levied that the smaller nations with weaker squads were getting shafted with short turnarounds where the T1 nations could afford it with their larger squads and favourable scheduling.
Our QF is on the 14.10.23.
Whilst I'll continue to disagree with you in another thread - you're right here.
The Welsh defence totally lost their way under Pivac, and were confused by his attacking plans. It's as if the players knew what they were being told to do under him, wasn't as good as what they'd previously done under Gatland. Now they feel comfortable again and the confidence and awareness of what their teammates job is, has returned.
See you do agree
Yes it's like the welsh public have completely lost their way under Drippy and are confused by his plans, It's as if the public knew what they were being told to do under him, wasn't as good as what they'd previously done under previous ministers who had brain cells.
The emergence of Jac Morgan is a huge bonus, a long career ahead of him and a clever choice of captain. There’s also a huge improvement at lineouts.
Gatland has done a remarkable job to turn things around so quickly. We have a great chance in the quarter finals as its likely to be Argentina. For a change injuries are light too.
This Wales team have got people excited again
Was in the barbers in Fairwater this morning.
The talk was of 35 blokes flying to Barcelona.
Stay 1 night in Barcelona. Fly to Marseilles next day.
Watch the two QFs involving Wales and England fly back to Barcelona in the evening.
Two days to enjoy some local downtime before returning to Cardiff.
Sounds like a plan
Sunday nights' game was a pleasure to watch. All the things good about a welsh team under Gatland on show. Watched it on record when I got back from Sunderland without knowing the score. What a day!
Great chance to get to semi. Although 2 tough games ahead. Then Ireland or NZ. Would prefer Ireland.
