This is what happens when you play an alien formation with players who haven't played together.

Noticed that we had 60% possession earlier but reduced to 40 odd.
Have we resorted to just lumping it up top?
Just saving ourselves for Sunday :getscoat:

Not really an excuse as Norwich have also made a lot of changes and given debuts to a number of players

My thought exactly.

Very poor considering both other promoted teams won comfortably.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v NORWICH CITY. Match thread
Norwich played all the football for the first hour or so. We rallied a bit late on.
Kadeem looked lively at times. Bobby worked hard but nothing really came off. Poor performance and deservedly beaten.

Desperate.
We will, in fact, have to be 100% better Sunday.
Kadeem is a useful impact player. Nothing else.

Took a couple of knocks and wanted to come off in the second half. Trouble is we'd made 3 subs by then so Warnock just told him to get on with it.

I tend to not rush into criticism of the club but that is a real shit result and performance (by the sounds of it)

He was know as Kadeem Mathurin-Harris at Wycombe, but we seem to ignore that. Announced as that tonight but the programme still says Harris.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 3 NORWICH CITY. Match thread
I'm not bothered by the result or the performance. If any of the squad players wanted a look in in the first team, they should have manned up and bossed the game. They didn't.
I think we'll line up against Arsenal the same as Huddersfield, but with Ward instead of Zohore.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 3 NORWICH CITY. Match thread
I went along tonight for my sins and yeah it was pretty much as bad as reported.
The positives such as they were - Manga had an excellent game at centre back and scored a nice goal, there were a few flashes from Kadeem and Ward looked good when he came on.
On the negative side Connolly Reid Damour and Peltier looked way off the pace and Madine was as useless as ever. Bit difficult to judge Smithies and Cunningham on that performance, neither did too much wrong.
Stylistically it was a case of long balls coupled with aimless sideways and back wards passes (which Damour was particularly guilty of). By contrast Evey time a Norwich player got the ball they turned and looked to play a team mate in, consequently they cut our defence to ribbons for much of the first half.
Not exactly a great morale boost for the next three games...

Did anyone look capable of stepping into the starting XI?

See the post above yours, that was nothing like Norwich's first choice starting eleven either.

Not really, Smithies perhaps?
I hope I never see Loic Damour anywhere near the first team again, abysmal performance from him

Agree, his contract is up at the end of the season. Can't see him getting a game, or even on the bench this season. He'll be gone next summer. He was a useful body when we needed some players last year, on the cheap, but was generally terrible tonight and looked really unfit.

Kadeem would be worth a go off the bench and Ward might be in contention, he looked really lively. Other than that no.
It was worrying how disjointed we looked. Norwich were in the same boat as us with a scratch side out but they were knocking the ball around really well wheras we were continually losing possession.

What a waste of my time and money. Players want to take a long bloody look in the mirror.
