Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Kurt Nogan by a country mile, Oh how we needed a goal scorer to save us, he was the local biy coming home, everything pointed towards roy of the rovers hero stuff
he was beyond crap
then closely followed by Cornelius, the lad looked like he had never trapped the ball, never taken the ball first time and at times never played the game before, how could have had been so good before he came to us and then so bad
On the plus side of the nogan transfer, it gave me a chance to buy some shares in cardiff and Billy Ayre called me " son " i was in my 30's at the time LOL

Le Fondre , Tom Adeyemi , Emyr Huws- (thanks Ipswich)

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Bellamy was far from a flop, but was anyone else expecting a bit more in his first spell? I know he scored and created a lot (I realise how stupid this is sounding) but he never took a player on, and he was skinning the whole premier league the season before. I think he was always over marked maybe.
Has to be Cornelius for me. Still think he can't have been properly fit and didn't get enough of a chance, but for the price, it's him.

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Nobody has mentioned Ameobi yet?
I thought Zaha atleast caused a threat (and I'm not a fan of him at all)

Stepover, stepover...oh I've given the ball away!
Dean Gordon - on loan from Boro, sent back.
Andy Campbell, apart from his loan spell and the p/o goal, of course.

As he had /has talent and I was amazed he signed , and even more amazed how poor he was , he obvously didnt want the move and got his desire move back home to Palace ,where he looks comfortable ,happy ,and shows his talent every now and then .

Andy Kerr is the worst professional footballer I've ever seen anywhere.

Was Kerr the lanky full back with the relaxed Afro. My memory ain't the best.

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Boland ticks all the boxes for me. All that chasing shadows. useless passes lifted into the box, and one goal in ten years etc etc.
-
Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
disagree helen boland was a work horse in our midfield . i can feel our sludge will chomping at the bit with your post !
far more useless players that's for sure that's played for us over the years than boland

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt

Has to be said that he was equally useless after he was sent packing to Hartlepool.

Wash your mouth out! Willie Boland was a tough tackling, hardworking, midfield stalwart.
