Berlin when the wall was up. The history and place still standing in 1971 were amazing/
6 years living there, my son was born there and I met people who are still my friens
I also met Rudolf Hess there. The man was an asshole till the day he died, but again amazing history

Re: Where's your favourite ever place you've been
Definitely the Isle of Wight. No Johnny Foreigners or greasers of any description.

Re: Where's your favourite ever place you've been
The Maasai Mara and Lake Naivasha in Kenya,
The Rocky Mountains, Calgary and Medicine Hat in Canada,
The Danish islands,
Anywhere in Bavaria, Germany.
A few countries that I've been to are supposed to be beautiful now, they weren't so when I visited; Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo.
The British Army provided some great all inclusive holidays!
