Care to give a few examples of games won by playing “in your face, direct football”? We’ve passed the ball around at the back all of the time under this manager, the only difference in recent games is that we’ve stopped scoring goals from open play.

Who have you been watching this season?
The only player who Cuty have who is in anyone's 'face' is Siopis who plays like he got ADHD.
Have you had a bump on the head?

And there was me thinking you were a hoofball fan, in terms of the type of football we played (ie long ball or the way Bulut likes us to play) we were just the same against those two as we were against everyone else - we can still go direct, but we do it much less than we used to.

And, more to the point, we generally try and keep long passes to feet. Long gone are the days of whacking it up in the air for someone to battle for it.

Re: Bulut's book of excuses
Was it 45 seconds after te two minutes, if so that's not right, and did change the game?
If it was our neck on the block we would be annoyed, but he does have to get on with it dwelling on negative decisions won't help prepare for Hull, probably still without NG and Ralls.

I believe there was a delay in injury time. I think it's time for independent time keepers in football where the clock is stopped to avoid time wasting.

Not sure if it’s right but someone said there was only a 15 second stop in injury time.

If Birmingham were keeping the ball alive for thirty seconds or so and keeping us under pressure, you could maybe understand the ref playing on for so long, but they were able to work the ball about ninety yards upfield at no great pace. The ref should have blown for half time once the ball reached the halfway line - forget about possible fouls against Etete or whether there was an offside in there somewhere, the first half went on for about half a minute longer than it should have done, that's why we lost the game (granted, our performance was so poor that we didn't deserve anything from it).

It wasn’t a wonder goal. The ref didn’t put it in the net either. We conceded because at least 3 players did things that parks players would be embarrassed about.

Re: Bulut's book of excuses
It's not an enviable task being interviewed after losses and managers have to say something.
Yes, the football at the moment at City in incredibly dire, frustrating and hard to watch but Bulut has taken us from being a team that could be relegated to what is more like a mid-table team - and with minimal resources. Best give him at least one transfer window to improve things, methinks.

Yup, we had three opportunities to deal with a move that started 15 yards from their goal.it looked like a foul, although it wasn't given. That's the way it goes.

The ref plays the right amount of added time and we don’t concede, it’s as simple as that.

Says it all. You're quoting a bloke born 100 years ago. It's not "pretty, pretty keepball". It's football. Simple stuff.

About where we are
We are poor at the moment but have shown we are a capable side in this division and certainly not the relegation fodder of last season
