Re: The perfect Xmas dinner
I love sprouts. I like all green veg - but sprouts are the best!
Steamed so properly cooked but nowhere near mushed. Overcooking is sacrilege.
Eat them lots this time of year - not just on Christmas Day.
I always assumed public anti-sproutism was an affectation - but maybe some of you haters are genuine? Don't get it.

Re: The perfect Xmas dinner
My wife goes OTT every Christmas dinner.
This year she's cooking for 7 and we got enough meat to feed half of Africa.
She bought an extra large turkey, the biggest slab of beef she could fine in the butchers, a large pork roast and around a million pigs in blankets (just as well we got a double oven).
The ironic thing is we are off on holiday on Boxing day, so whatever is left over will get slung in the bin.
Madness.

I love runner beans, I like cabbage, quite like peas so I'm in no way greenist, I just don't like the taste of them.
I literally have to smother one in cranberry sauce, add a bit of turkey and wolf it down as quick as I can - it's like a bush tucker trial for me.
