Also gives us time to work on new formations based on who's available.
I'm also pleased that the club has no leaks or moles anymore.
Given where the info came from I doubt you've been had.
My only hope is that when they looked into it it wasn't as bad as first thought

Agreed on both points.
Fingers crossed.

If your informant was correct and he is injured then the club clearly fo have a mole, otherwise how would you have known. Or don't you count because you'll keep it to yourslelf? Oh hang on...........................

It was reported elsewhere that Ralls was in a leg brace after the Bristol game.
That was before Arfer said anything.
Looks from above that Warnock himself has said that Ralls is out for a while.
I'm sure if Barnsley were looking for info on us they wouldn't go to a message board for it.
Can you imagine how messed up their preparation would be if they believed everything they read on the MBs 😂

Where's the link to Warnock saying Ralls is out for a while (Not insinuating anything just like to read/watch it)
Link on here today where Ralls didn't get a mention and Warnock said no major new news on injuries?

No problem, it looks like you are quoting Lawnmower who was apparently quoting me! Just curious how it occurred that's all. :hehe:

I've supported this board through thick and thin, but some of the deletions of posts and threads on here in recent months have left me both baffled and bewildered - if Ralls is injured, it's as if someone important somewhere thinks the injury will go away if no one talks about it :sherlock:.

In case you're doubting your sanity, I too saw the news report that Warnock said ralls was out for seven weeks. And then, like the snow, it melted away.

It was photoshopped fake news. The guy even posted a second picture with Photoshop open.
That headline does not exist.

I have no idea if Ralls is injured. Same as I have no idea if NM-L and Kareem Harris were fighting with bouncers the weekend before last. It’s social media speculation / rumour / shit stirring?? I don’t know.
The only bits I’ve removed relating to it is the photoshopped image that I mention above, and posts last week where instead of discussing if Joe was injured or not (which no one knows, one person was said to have seen him in a leg brace an Arfur says he was told there was an injury) people were starting up board v board nonsense which leads to abuse and name calling that I’m trying to stamp out.
As for other deletions I have been trying to keep on top of spats where abusive posts are pointlessly aimed at other posters or people, I’ve tried to merge threads that were on the same subject and tidy up some of the trolling.
To me the board has been far better lately with lots of decent debate on mostly football issues. Without a lot of the vitriol we’ve seen in the past and without a lot of pointless nonsense.

Re: Is Ralls really injured or that earlier thread is a wind up?
Our Gaffer is a canny operator, his book The Gaffer tells you everything you need to know about him. He probably thinks why should I give the opposition any incline into how my team are likely to line up, and let's face it his line-ups catch us all out. I am personally delighted that our media appear to be working with him in this respect by attempting to keep things in house.

Re: Is Ralls really injured or that earlier thread is a wind up?
If Wales Online, or any other media outlet, had wind of a story where Ralls was injured and could be out for up to six weeks, does anyone actually believe that they wouldn't publish the article because City asked them not to ?. NW has also always been open and up front about player injuries and the fact that no mention of an injury to Ralls has been made since the Bristol game, indicates to me that the liklihood is that he had a minor knock or that there is no injury but we will see later today. Why would the club want to cover up an injury to Ralls anyway, we have more important players (Hoilett, Morrison, Zohore, Madine etc) where the club have openly discussed their injuries at various times this season.
-
Re: Is Ralls really injured or that earlier thread is a wind up?
I think we can safely disbelieve anything Warnock says or doesn't say about the team. Like you say why should we give our opponents any clues.
FWIW I think Ralls is injured but I am sure Warnock already has plan B in place.
I also think Gunnar will be back sooner rather than later.
-
Re: Is Ralls really injured or that earlier thread is a wind up?
What happened to Jazz Richards? He was down to play at Leeds but got injured in training which meant Traore played. I haven't seen anything since apart from a Sky preview saying he'd miss the Ipswich game (18 days later) with severe bruising. Apparently still not back now, must be one hell of a bruise.

The online link in which NW stated Ralls was out injured for 7 weeks has already been proven to be a fake, so that proves that there are people out there intent on providing mis-information, presumably to amuse themselves and upset other fans. Also, how can anyone disbelieve anything someone doesn't say ?. NW has already just said that Gunnar will be back sooner than was thought, so using your logic, are we to disbelieve that as well ?. I dont think we will miss Ralls, if he is injured, as much as we would miss Morrison, Hoilett, Bamba etc as we have other alternatives. I would say that from evidence so far NW has been open and honest about player injuries, so why would he suddenly do the opposite and cover something up.

Re: Is Ralls really injured or that earlier thread is a wind up?
We won't know the truth until the team is announced for tonight.
Warnock keeps his cards close to his chest. Maybe even Morrison will play.

Once you lose your spot in the team it's very difficult to get it back, particularly if a defender with the team are on such a good run without conceding.
Its true Warnock has had to chop and change a bit but as Emjayblue mentions above, better to keep schtum and have everyone guessing what team we play.
If we don't know, the opposition won't know.

That's fair enough, I'm all for a few mind games here and there, but I doubt Barnsley will panic too much if Jazz makes the bench tonight. The lack of information seems odd, it's almost as though the club were trying to cover something up. They were quick enough to come out with the news of his ankle injury earlier in the season and how long he'd be out for. He'd been playing regularly, and very well, surely it would be good PR to keep City fans updated?
