Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Luton are looking to complete a league double over Cardiff for the first time since the 1999-2000 season, having won 2-1 earlier this campaign.
Cardiff City have won their last three away league games against Luton and are unbeaten in their last five visits to Kenilworth Road (W3 D2).
Luton have won four of their last five league games (L1) although they did lose their most recent game at Kenilworth Road, a 3-2 defeat to West Brom.
Since the start of last season, only Reading (38) have lost more Championship games than Cardiff City (36).
Cardiff's last 12 league games have either been drawn (5) or won by a one-goal margin (7), with Cardiff on the losing side in five of those games.

Can’t believe this team! I presume O’Dowda is injured, but to have Harris, Sawyers and Ojo starting is bonkers! We need Philogene, Colwill and Etete on as soon as possible. Don’t have much hope with this team, but I still hope they make me eat my words!!

Four centre backs.
No full backs or wing backs unless Ng is slotting into the right and (?) Simpson or Ralls on the left?
Three central mids without pace - one with the skills but no energy!
Three forwards who play best off a striker, but no No 9.
Bench looks good, though!

Simpson and Sawyers, but no O'Dowda ... could be a long evening.

Me too.

I’d heard he was very safety first. Anyone looking for a team on the front foot may be disappointed.

NG has played most his career at right back. I assume Simpson fills in at left back.
Two holding with Ralls and Wintle then Sawyers, Ojo and Harris behind Robinson.

That line up looks very workman like

Maybe.
The BBC thinks its the back 4 you suggest and two holding mids, with Harris, Sawyers and Robinson behind Ojo.
Hopefully Luton are equally confused!

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I guess he doesn't have a huge pool of talent to play with, but no O'Dowda is a surprise - is he injured? Good to see Xavier Benjamin on the bench though.
-
Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Callim O'Dowda is ill - as is Sol Bamba.
Neither at Luton tonight (per WOL)
-
Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Its a side which shows how badly we needed new players this window.
We are heading one way.
-
Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I agree with tforturton in seeing Benjamin on the bench
He’s been great for the u23’s and deserves a spot
He’s rapid as well
Anyone see his interception last week stopping a certain goal
Class !!!!

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
New manager bounce v picking Simpson...

Re: LUTON TOWN v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
O’Dowda and Bamba I’ll apparently.
