Re: New home kit confirmed
Football clubs and sports brands probably bank on selling to children/adolescents these days more than adults. Just by releasing a “NEW!” Kit you can probably bag a few hundred thousand (or more) from nagging kids alone. Can’t expect anything decent if people are happy with a product that requires minimal thought to put together. Kit design nowadays could quite literally be done by a computer program (and a basic one at that). At least for the super brands.
Re: New home kit confirmed
58 quid for an off-the-shelf adidas training top with a club badge and a really ugly "sponsor's" (do we actually get any money from this deal?) logo is ****ing outrageous. If I were inclined to wear club shirts, I'd be very tempted to just buy the plain training top. What is the club thinking?

They're thinking (correctly) that people will buy it regardless of the fact that it's an absolute rip off

A short-sighted strategy in my opinion.
