We've been worse this half. Not looking good!

Had Bacuna's name written all over it. Where was he?

I thought his whole contribution was that he supposedly "gets into good positions"

Not in an attacking midfielders position.
He hasn't done bad today in spells but I just don't like him in the position and I never will.
He should have been closing the keeper down just now as well when Moore chased the ball down in the corner.. Only one place the defender is going and its back to the keeper...

Bacuna had two chances within a minute to clear the ball there. I'm sorry but he is ****ing shite.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Not great from both fullbacks.
Bacuna had two chances to clear the ball earlier in that attack and messed it up twice.

Bagan gets out to his man but its poor jumping from sang. But yes, should never have been in that position anyway.

We aren't playing any fullbacks.

Sums this board up. People will argue anything

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
We've gone to a 442, so instead of putting a natural wide player on we put Colwill.. Who's not a winger.
Ref shit out there as well.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
What a Fred Carnos.
Oh well start thumping it up in case the defence can swamp them and jam another last minute draw.
Is the goalkeeper taking part in the forward press yet ?

:hehe: bit of a difference mate, they aren't fullbacks. They're wingbacks. The comment you made that I replied to was a situation you probably could have just let go instead of not backing down.. Not rrappy that important to keep on about though so have a nice day

Fullbacks, wing backs, whatever they are.
If one of them lets a cross coming in without getting anywhere near him and the one on the opposite side lets the ball float over his head without getting near the scorer then they are to blame.
Bacuna could have cleared it twice though.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
We're not very good when the crosses are not very good.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
"Good body contortion from Colwill" according to City TV.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Colwill using good feet and skill to get the ball out wide.. I counted 1 man.. Collins in the box.. So Colwill had to delay playing the ball.. We are 1 down and our whole play seems to centre around crossing the ball in, so why after 80 minutes a goal down aren't there players in the box?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
I do agree about the style of play though.
If our set piece game mixed with long throws and crosses doesn't work then we are devoid of ideas without a slice of luck.

We can be that when we are defending.. But runners in the box isn't much to ask is it.. Never mind if we lose it might force a few changes.

Would be lovely to see us play through the middle a bit more if the opportunity is there.. Instead of JUST looking to get the ball out wide to cross or doing the early cross from deep.. Its not a bad thing to cross it with the players we have but a bit of variation wouldn't hurt. And put Giles on the other side ffs.
Sums it up for me.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Ref taken the easy option again.

Not at home against a pretty ordinary Bristol Cty team, no.
If Bristol City see this out that is three wins in a row here. These games used to have a bit of something about them. They're like a glorified pre season friendly these days.
