Thank God for that, good battling.
Just a striker, 2 centre mids, a winger, a left back and a centre half to come please :hehe:

How to make a bigger sows ear out of a sows ear in one easy lesson. Not content with rubbishing Colwill, one of our only creative players, you then rubbish the rest of the team all in one go. You are extremely negative about most things City.

Everyone has their opinion, and after 64 years supporting them I think I am entitled to mine. We won, but apart from a few good performances (eg Alnwick....NG, Ralls, Goutas) there were not many who would get into other teams in this division - it was still pretty turgid stuff. If they are all so great why do we need to buy anyone in January?
Re: FT: Q.P.R. 1 - 2 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Is it just me or does Bowler look fatter?
Didnt understand why Colwill was subbed again, but we scored straight after and held on so what do I know.
Ralls is the fighter we need and Ng is pure class.
We were good for 3 points, and we’re 3 points off the playoffs. Get the cheque book out Tan, you never know!

Fabulous win making it a great away trip.
QPR in the first half were appalling. They were worse than us at our worst.
Begovic kept the score down before missing the cross for Ng’s winner. Rangers had a bit of a revival in the second half, but overall the right team won.

Agree with that.
We had 3 good chances in the second half (2 from Colwill and one from Bowler) all well saved by Begovic whilst they created a couple themselves.
They were better in the second half, and their sub with the long hair looked decent before he went off (thankfully), but then again they couldn't have been much worse.
And we were a bit better. But not by much!
PS Why was Colwill take off??

Good to start the year with a win. I don’t think for a minute we’ll end up in a relegation battle but it was nice to put another three points between us and the bottom three. At worst we’ll be a mid table team this season, which after the last two seasons is progress. And with some decent signings this month, the play offs aren’t an unrealistic target.

My first away in ages, and reminded me of so many other away trips in the past where it was a great day, spoiled only by 90 minutes of football.
Ugly game, but great to get the 3 points - and, as you say, deserved.

We have been good at getting points against sides at the bottom.

I thought the same about Tanner when he was waiting to come on.

Erol Bulut:
"It was perfect to have a win for the new year. It was not the greatest game, but the way we won it was great.
"We have injuries and illness so I have limited possibilities, so I can say it was a great game for us.
"The team showed fighting spirit - winning spirit. Some games are like that and today it was like that.
"Of course, for the offensive part, we want to create more and finalise more, but we have to compliment our defenders. Sometimes you have to count on your defenders and they are doing well."

Anyone know why Goutas got so emotional when he scored?

His grandmother was seriously ill in Greece. It sounds like she died that night from the reports of his social media posting.
