Re: The Donald Trump thread
WB's feelings on a star abusing his position
"We've seen it time and again, it's all about having a position of power, and using that power in a very ugly way."
WB's hero and role model
"Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything
Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything."

I don't know where you get hero and role model from, I would be more drawn to a Corbyn type of character, but Trump is a candidate of change and he has an important job to do, somebody has to expose the dirty political system so that it can be cleaned up somewhat and we can start over again. Regarding the abuse accusations, if Trump is guilty he should certainly face the consequences. However, it doesn't help that all the accusations all came up during an election campaign, were organised by ambulance chasing attorneys, and were paid for by the Clinton campaign, who were also spying on Trump in order to prevent him from being elected/remove him from office. Hence your view is too simplistic, you haven't analysed the complexities of the situation.

I thought Veg1960 was referencing Trump's own words? There is no accusation just the words of either a sexual predator using his power in an ugly way or of course he course he could have been lying and making it all up.

Beat me to it Cyril
Direct quote from Trump, no mention of attorneys, spies, campaigns. Just Trump's own words
"when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything"
You felt able (quite correctly IMO) to criticise Morgan Freeman for abusing his position, yet can't bring yourself to admit what a slimeball Trump is.
You accuse me of being simplistic and not grasping the complexities - perhaps you could point them out for me. Just to be clear I'm not asking about election campaigns, the Clintons, lawyers etc. Just Trump's words in relation to your stated feelings about Morgan Freeman. What exactly am I missing?

Trump is disposable, he is not here to win any popularity contests. If he is guilty of anything then charge him, but it's pointless going on about him just because you don't like him .. nobody does! Trump has been selected to face down the socialist/communist/globalists and kick them out of Dodge. After the job is complete he will disappear into the sunset.

So you're admitting that, by getting considerably less votes than his opponent, Trump didn't really win the popularity contest that is the American Presidential election?

I may be wrong, but the last two letters from Trump and Kim seem a bit "overdone".
Unusually for me, I said much the same, but in far less words :hehe:.

Do you ever answer the questions posed to you?
You deliberately missed the point Bob was trying to make and have avoided answering mine twice.
I know it's absolutely pointless, but one more go.
How do you view Trump's comments, considering you condemnation of Morgan Freeman. Do they describe someone "using power in a very ugly way"

Corbyn and Trump face the same problem, a biased media determined to destroy their character, and the public are oblivious to it. That's the fascinating part for me, that they still exist and sometimes even thrive under these conditions.

He himself said it was locker room talk. If there is a case to answer put it before a jury, not the court of public opinion that is influenced by a corrupt politicised media.

Oh okay.
So he was trying to ingratiate himself by pretending to be a sexual predator
That's cleared that up

You're the one trying to convince yourself that a link exists.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
So let's say you are in a locker room.
You overhear some bloke off the telly talking to a mate about how he likes to force himself on women
Do you think:
a) There's a bloke I'd like to see as the leader of the free world
b) What a ****

I think you are being unfair to WB.
The expectation to get a straight reply to a straight question without bringing in several extraneous elements is a bit naughty for starters.
He has clearly said that those that have issue with Trump's talk and actions should take it to court. Perfectly reasonable! Just as reasonable is the suggestion that those that have chosen that path should not have picked ambulance chasing attorneys as this would not be in their best interests when in litigation against Trump's squeaky clean lawyer.
I would suggest that if you debate with him on specific points in the future that you really need to look at the bigger picture because what you are focusing upon is all noise when set against the deep anti-state clean up of which Trump is a temporary figurehead.
Conversely if you have a big picture conversation you should really understand that that is not the problem. Rather the fact that WB and a small number of well trained art experts have noticed a few brush strokes in the far bottom corner of the canvas that look like they were added by someone else. As a result you have to conclude the rest of the painting is obviously fake!
Hope this helps and good luck in any future dialogue!

He never said he forced himself, he said they were up for it, hypothetically speakng of course.
Look it's great if you follow the CNN version of events, if you believe Obama is the greatest president ever, if you doubt the CIA/FBI would would have colluded with other countries to spy on Trump. It's your worldview, just enjoy it.

How many times must I say it, if he is guilty put him before a jury. How many times?

What do you know about my world view?
Are most politicians bent? In my opinion of course. The Clintons would appear to be more bent than most.
Was Trump spied on? Very possibly. No doubt the establishment will have spied on lefty types over here.
That doesn't mean I have to believe everything that comes out of Trump's mouth, and attempt to justify everything he says and does

Why are you fixated on something that happened nearly two years ago, and nothing came of it, while ignoring everything that has happened since? It's like that is all you've got, you are pinning your hopes on a story that dies nearly two years ago. Why didn't those cases go any further? Weinstein was in court today, that is the sort of outcome I would be expecting if anything went on.

Weinstein is in court accused of rape. Nobody is accusing Trump of that.
I'm not fixated on it. The only reason it came up is that you appeared to condemn powerful people abusing their position.

That's an interesting observation, so governments are spying on those who have no hope of being elected? Do you think certain elements of the right and the left are the same thing, working together to elect chosen candidates? We got Clnton, Blair, Bush, Obama, Cameron, but no Corbyn, and the plan was definitely for no Trump. It's only since Trump won that we are seeing everything being exposed after a 30+ year run of the "Uniparty". Hillary dropping the batton is one of the biggest screwups in the history of politics, but so far the masses have remained oblivious.

And you equated them as being equal, while I pointed out there were differences, i.e. no enforcement action was taken, and the victims slunk off into the night as soon as the election was over.

Well spotted, and there is a distinct trail of evidence should anybody be so inclined to review the case!

Sorry I must have missed that. Where did I equate Trump with Weinstein? The only time I mentioned Weinstein was after you brought him up - and then only to differentiate between the two
"Weinstein is in court accused of rape. Nobody is accusing Trump of that."

Amazing photo. Everybody in those kind of circles knew what Weinstein was up too, but .. Hillary was married to a rapist, and Huma's husband was busy sexting underage girls. What a f*cked up world we live in. I hope everything comes out and we finally know the truth, even if Trump has to fall on his own sword and go down with the ship. So far, I don't think we have even scratched the surface with regards to what is really going on in the swamp.

You will be pleased to know that Gloria Allred isn't her lawyer and the trial lawyer who is has an excellent record in this area. You should get your wish to see Donny have his day in court unless the strenuous, but to date, unsuccessful efforts that his lawyers are making to stop this offer some protection.

I would also say both used media and social media to do the reverse in fact Labour actually gloated over the fact thier social media campaign was a success.
Can't have it both ways .

It's all going to come out how the intelligence services, media, law enforcement, and the judiciary were weoponized in order to destroy opposition candidates.
