Eggs , beans , etc can be bought at staggered times , these butchers are going to be like this for the next few days with people gathering to buy a bloody bird to be cooked on one day . Groups of people in close proximity is how the virus spreads . Those people lining up like lemons are exactly what the government don't want .
This country is a joke
you're not supposed to buy at staggered times. The idea is to do 1 shop that will last you several days..... like a turkey will.
And you still didn't address the poor butcher and the money he will ose from all those rotting turkeys and how he will then afford eggs and potatoes for his family.

How ****ing thick are these people?
I think people do have to get food for Christmas and it was always going to be an issue, you are right about thickos though, people can still stand at a sensible distance it doesn't matter if the line is a mile long, it's still the same number of people in front of you so why risk getting covid?

You are right that it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, I think we will be locked down for six weeks plus.
I seriously hope not , 6 weeks will be torture but if that's whats needed , then there we go
I will go mad or madder than I am already

Thats Catholicism for you
Bloody catholics. I went to a catholic school where religious studies was not an option, it was compulsory. I recall once being clouted by a teacher for not doing the sign of the cross properly. I would never put my kids through a catholic school.

Lots of people suffering , feel sorry for the butcher but also the nurses and doctors in their forties dead after catching the virus from people due to the public not doing what they are told

Sadly, in a pandemic, there is always going to be collateral damage.

You can use that kind of argument all day, but it is not a constructive argument its just you using bad news to support your sad opinion that the world must stop.
It isn't going to happen. Get over it. People have to live get out and inter-react or they will end up with mental problems, and we wouldn't want that would we/
Or maybe what they are doing now is because the have mental problems caused by being locked down for 4 months earlier in the year.

Its not too difficult , its just utterly incomprehensible
Its a serious pandemic
Whilst its going on people are having heart attacks , not getting treatment for cancer , hip replacements and people with existing mental health issues are not getting treatment . People are losing their jobs , people are not seeing their loved ones in care homes and because of this stress people are getting anxious and depressed .
Its horrible . But until the population of this country stick to the rules and the vaccines are given then the current advice is clear .
If you don't know what it is , watch the news
If you don't agree with it write to your mp

My Mrs picked up a pre-ordered turkey this morning in and out no queue.
More likely to been in a crowded place buying the food Sludge wants us to eat.
Saying that she picked up some eggs as well.
I drove down to collect. A lot of people about though.
