Which event in history would you change?
The Delorean has just got it's MOT. The flux capacitor is fluxing. You just don't care about the space time continuum...
What past event would you go back in time to change?

Re: Which event in history would you change?
I'd make sure the Delorean failed it's mot

Re: Which event in history would you change?
World War One has already been chosen so instead I'll plump for The Muppets Ride Again film. If only the writers had made it a piece of gritty realism rather than a comedy musical then it may have become one of the greats of the silver screen.

Re: Which event in history would you change?
Ok - wars etc id obviously alter.
However ill stick to the City for one and stop Dave feckin Jones putting Kelvin feckin Etuhu on the pitch as Bothroyds replacement v Blackpool.

Tell Adam and Eve that they evolved naturally.

Re: Which event in history would you change?
It's a horrible thought not to change a war (especially first world war) but it's such a massive moment in history and so long ago that too difficult to know what would happen.
I'd change the av referendum as feel the "take back control" feeling could have been answered here and in a more positive way.
City: the Blackpool play-off final so we could avoid the rebrand pain.

I'd have Howe chart the Hudson and send a few sloops up river to block Washington's van, leading to a swift end to the rebellion of 75-76

3 May 2003, James Thomas to suffer an unfortunate injury prior to kick off and Hull to play like they'd never played that season.

I'd travel back and stop TH63 from selling Toshack.
-
Re: Which event in history would you change?
Toshack has a bit of a Biff Tannen vibe about him. Maybe Toshack would steal the Delorean and sell yous twos in medieval Swansea

How people can think that stress only occurs in "life or death" situations is also beyond me.

I'd try to convince Mark Chapman to leave town with his autographed album.

Re: Which event in history would you change?
A butterfly flapped its' wings somewhere near Bali 5,000 years ago and everything went wrong.
If only it had done the same a little further to the east we would be living in a paradise of peace and plenty where Cardiff City F.C. won the European Cup every year, and Goslow and David Vincent are universally admired as paragons of rationality and moderation.
Sodding butterfly!

From a British pounds of view as well the first world war effectively ended Britain as the global superpower and left us in massive debt to the USA.
Standards of living amongst the middle classes in Britain have probably never been as high as in the present war period. Of course that was built on the backs of workers in the empire, so that's not necessarily a good thing.

Another one would be to get the Ireland home rule bill to pass

Just slightly later that year, but 29th May 1954 for me. I would've outlawed the Bilderberg foundation before it unleashed its evil tentacles across the world.
