Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
As part of ongoing discussions with the EFL regarding the postponement of Sunday’s fixture at Derby County FC, we can confirm that a rearranged date for the game has been agreed to our satisfaction.
The Bluebirds will travel to Pride Park on Tuesday, 24th April for a 7.45pm kick-off.
Further information regarding ticketing will follow in due course.

This is good news, well done Neil.
Anything else is a bonus.

EFL rules state the earliest available date. The fact that this isn't is probably a gesture by the EFL to placate us after the decission to postpone our game in questionable circumstances,

Agreed, I also think they accept the fact it would be extremely unfair on both the players, and fans, to travel away 3 times within 8 days (I am relieved to not have to do this), especially after being messed around on the original fixture it would have been a serious middle finger to the fans especially.

Agreed. Our April Away fixtures look quite a challenge now to say the least!

Imagine securing promotion at this game and rubbing the Derby fans' noses in it.

Alternatively, imagine they beat us which stops us getting the points needed for promotion and prevents another club getting a play off place. Either outcome could happen.

It's a possibility. Not Derby fans fault the match was postponed though. Rubbing the Directors' noses in it...thats another matter.

Their fans have been rather gleeful and plenty have seen it as victory of sorts.

What an incredible perspective, I hadn't thought of it like that.
So you're saying there is more than one outcome for each football match? This really changes how I'll bet on matches now.

Na, only wanted to bid 」5K, with fees and maybe VAT would have been about 」6K.
Should have though, as looking at them, they hold their money.

I told you it was value. Why dont you listen ?

Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
Excellent news.
Derby on the defensive and the EFL trying to calm things down by conceding to Cardiff's preferred date.
-
Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
Excellent news playing our game in hand with only another two games left to play after it. We will know exactly what we have to do to get promoted. In the meantime, Fulham and Villa will be in perpetual panic assuming they have to make up 10 points, which means they will have to attack in every game, and it will leave them exposed at the back. Our lot will have to play harder too, cos they can't bank on the 3 points from a Derby win.

Me neither, but I made the rearranged Brentford after being unable to make the original. Oh well.

Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
Has anyone checked if all the derby fans can make it? One of them might have parents evening or the car might be in for its MOT.

They'll try to call it off claiming half of their fans can't get to the ground incase they get hayfever from the freshly cut grass on the pitch.

Oh hark at captain sarcastic :hehe:
The point I was making was there is no guarantee we will get any points from this game, some fans on here seem to be making out we just have to turn up. But I知 sure you already knew that didn稚 you.

Well yeah.
I was just making the point that it would be a sweet place to seal it, made more likely by it being moved later in the season than first thought.

Wrapped up by then hopefully , however they might be safe In the play offs by the 24th , the other thing to note though , our game is bang in the middle of a tough pair of games for Derby, with Boro home before us followed by Villa away , and on the 11th they would have played Wolves , the only easy game in April for them is Burton , not a nice April for them either.
