Has the last few games' tiredness shown that we could do with an extra option in midfield? Is Joe that man?
1. Yes.
2. No.
Derby is his latest suitor
He'd probably want's to do the best for his family (again). He just has to sit it out and wait until a good offer comes along, as he is one of better free agents available right now. There will be plenty of willing managers fearing the sack who will pay good money if they think he can help save their ass.
It's not ideal for Wales though, with two huge games coming up.
It's ridiculous he hasn't sorted something out. He has ruled himself out of our crucial World Cup qualifiers next month.
Maybe he's still getting his hair done
If Gunnerson doesn't sign a new contract we wouldn't get a better free transfer replacement? I'd force Gunners into a descison while Joe is still available otherwise we could lose Gunners for nothing in the summer like we did with Ledley and many others?
I do think he would be a good addition but as much as I never thought I'd say this, I couldn't see him shifting Ralls or Gunnarson from the starting 11.
We don't have natural cover or competition for Gunnarsson. Ledley would be ideal in that regard.
I wouldn't say either are natural holding midfield players based on what I've seen of them so far.

Signs for Derby
We need to get Gunners to sign a new contract or sell him in January. Otherwise we lose him on a free in the Summer as we did with Ledley,Bothroyd,Matthews and many others?
I think Ledley would be a good player for all/most championship teams, It bother's me that he doesn't have a club. It obviously doesn't suit him at the moment. City might benefit from more bodies but I would like to think that the profiling of potential signings/ free agent's continues. No big wages I think. Sure I heard Gabbidonn say on radio that he was offered to train with the City but he said no. Must have suited him better not too. Good luck too him.
That will learn me...read the whole thread. Signed for Derby. Good for him. Good player for Wales and us in the past. If you offered me Bryson Or Ledley I would take Bryson.
Good luck to Joe at his new club. Time to move on for both parties.
Can't wait to boo him.
Ledley has only been signed until January suggesting Derby haven't much faith in him.
Worst passing team? Bob I respect your posts and knowledge about the game but that's just a silly comment. How can we win 5 on the bounce and only lose one game by being the worst passing side in the Championship?
We don't need Ledley, he doesn't suit how Warnock wants to play. I think he's slow, unfit and would take until Christmas at best to get him up to speed.
I'd have kept O'Keefe here rather than go out and get Ledley, it's no disrespect to Ledley when I say thank **** for that, I mean it in way that at least all the rumours about him coming here can be put to bed.

Show a little more respect please.
Agree he's all effort but very little finess , I distinctly rember his lack of close control . Not for me , I don't buy all these story lines about joining us , he wants a good pay day , my guess the Derby loan will be window shopping, for other suitors to observe his value . He's not played a competitive 90 minutes for some time interesting not even the newly promoted clubs have taken a pubf on him , why have Derby only gone for a loan until January .
All very strange.
We did the same with Kieron Richardson and some other player around this time a year ago. Can't remember who it was. They were both gash. The short term contract was no doubt due to doubts about the players. TOBW might be right about the player from Birmingham, too. If there's any chance of that transfer going through it wouldn't make sense to pay Ledley a small fortune for a whole season.
I think the reason is somewhere in the middle of those.
I was over for the Wednesday game - Bryson was excellent. laing is pure class
That stat means fvck all. Would you rather pass the ball side to side and have that stat as the best passing team without hurting anyone or have the stat for the most shots on goal in the Championship (43 I think it is) that we currently hold? I know which one I'd rather have.
