Films you have seen but could never watch again.
I might have thought they were good at the time but afterwards I found that they had an affect on me and I won't sit through them again. The green mile and seven. My wife also has two, the remake of Cape fear and the champ.

Shutter Island - If you’ve seen it you’ll know what I mean. Not that it had an effect on me but it’s one of those you can only enjoy once.
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Shindlers List
Inception
The Sixth Sense

Totally agree, at the end, sat there looking at the screen thinking “WHAT THE F UCK WAS THAT”
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
12 Years A Slave
That was a difficult watch
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Schindlers list watched it once and will never watch it again

Moulon Rouge . Bizarre film.
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Anything marvel or the other one.
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
I very rarely watch a film more than once apart from maybe a comedy. For me I'd rather see something I've not seen before, however it does generally mean I can't recall who or what happened in those films. I'm certainly no film buff.

I do something similar I'll watch a film and rate it then I will usually forget it and move on, only a select amount will stay in my head and they are the ones I can watch again.

I know what you mean, but I've seen it 3 times. Hits me every time.
Saw "the English Patient" years ago, thought it might be good as it won Best Picture Oscar.
Turned out to be a pile of poo.
Same for "Get Out".

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Naked Lunch (one ****ed up film)
Congo (worst film ever seen)
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Dunkirk
The Revenant.
Both excellent, wouldn't want to watch again.

I was underwhelmed by both. I’m not saying they weren’t good, because they were, but I don’t think either warranted the hype that surrounded them.

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Watching The Human Centipede a second time is a tough challenge...

Agreed. I do think they were excellent, but not worthy over the hype they got... which suggested they were GOAT films.

We need to talk about Kevin. Bleak

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Book Club on sky premier at the moment is a film I watched with the wife this week - a bunch of 60 year old women saying vagina a lot and banging on about sex. It was toe curlingly bad
Dirty Dancing what a load of shite that was as well
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Yeah, Schindlers List is a good call in this category of "good, but once is enough".
Recently watched "The House That Jack Built", the latest Lars von Trier film. I enjoyed it - bit jeez, don't think I'll watch it again. If you've ever seen a LvT film, you'll know what i mean
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
The Hateful Eight...
Love Tarrantio's films and watched most more than once but can't say I'd watch that again.
Jagged Edge.
Oh and The Sound of music!

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Schindlers list seems to be winning at the moment which means I won't watch it a first time let alone a second.

Er... not the type of film you can have a wank to in my opinion, but each to their own

And this is why I deleted “ just make sure you have the tissues ready” on my last post :hehe:

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
The latest Aronofsky film..... Mother.
Feck me, it´s like being nagged by a really annoying kid with a squeaky voice. Hard work but I had to sit through it.

Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
A Serbian Film. No idea why I watched it in the first place, think my mate dared me. Wish I had read up about it first but didn't.
-
Re: Films you have seen but could never watch again.
Two that I've watched recently:
1. A Bronx Tale
2. Away Days.
Away Days was about Scouse hooligans in the early to mid 80s. It was just as terrible as Green Street.
Edit: I should say though, the soundtrack to A Bronx Tale was excellent.

Irrelevant fact of the day:
The Bronx is a borough of New York City, named after the 17th century Jonas Bronck, who was supposedly the first recorded European settler in the area.
I'm here all week....
