Staying/going during the summer

Niasse, Arter and Camarasa will be returning to their clubs at the end of the season, so are not included. Neither is Gunnarsson, who is off as well.

This is what I think is the remaining squad, with who I think should stay or go. My thoughts might clash with others.

I am sure Bacula will be staying.
Ward ( on his showing today) could be a useful back up in the championship.
Hoilett and Ralls have little to offer the club in any division.

They might if Neil Warnock goes, and I hope he does.

His post match interview yesterday was embarrassing. He is shot and has nothing left to offer. To leave Murphy out as a punishment for not training well is so childish, especially as we are fighting for premier survival. The same goes for Healey being subbed ahead of Reid.

He has done wonders getting us promoted and uniting the Club. But we all know from his past that he has never been successful in the top tier and history is repeating itself.

Next season we need to rebuild under a new manager. It will take time and I predict a mid table finish in the championship for the next few seasons.

Neil and his team need to go and soon.

'd be amazed if we don't get a can't-turn-down bid for Etheridge.

Connolly and Damour are probably the only ones likely to be leaving. Other than that I think Warnock will look to keep the rest. Personally I would be looking to move on Jazz, Ward and Zohore as well.

The Club can't sell him. They have a major advertising campaign running for season tickets and he features strongly as ' I'll be there' in 19/20 season

Not forgetting O'Keefe and the returning loanees. Tomlin, Bogle and Madine can all be moved on.

Etheridge is probably the major worry in terms of players being poached and, with Smithies waiting in the wings, it could be a sacrifice the club is willing to make. Mendez-Laing and Bennett have had their suitors in the past as well.

I hope so, Zohore blows hot and cold far too much.

Even though he’s been out player of the year I’m not sure Etheridge will be in demand at PL level.

His kicking is the weakest part of his game and most clubs want keepers who are comfortable on the ball so they can start from the back.

So frustrating on times, he’s obviously rigidly sticking to Warnock’s orders, but Jesus Christ mix it up a bit. The opposition always know it’s going to be a long ball and organise accordingly inevitably winning the ball. There’s times when both our full backs are free and possession could be kept, I've found myself screaming at him to roll it out but does he listen???????? No he frigging doesn’t, if he does leave he may have to go back to goalkeeping school and enrol in the distribution course!!

I thought his kicking had improved earlier in the season, but it has been worse than ever in the last few games.

I'll be surprised if a Premier League team wants him.

One thing we definitely need, a goalscorer. Two would be nice, but wont be greedy, one will be fantastic.

We never stole any points this season, not to my memory anyway (maybe Brighton home given the decision in our favour). We had to scrap and work for everything we had, a goalscorer may have stole us a few points here or there where we didn't deserve it.

I think that’s more realistic, although I’d expect Richards to leave.

Not sure of the contract situation with Healey and Damour, but I’d expect them to be gone.

Tomlin is another you’d expect to go. Bogle and Madine too.

Wonder if we will get a promotion bonus off Sheff Utd for loaning him out ?

Thinking about it, only people we need worry about staying are Warnock and Madine. Both know how to get promoted. Was very nice of Warnock to send some Madine promotion magic to his boyhood club but we will need him next season.

I pretty much agree with most of the above. Harris and Richard have barely played at all in the last two seasons, and Connolly even less. The only one I disagree with is Madine, Sheff U won't want him we'll be lumbered with him, Tomlin and Bogle and a load of players we don't really want. A lot of which are the result of Warnock's crap signings.

As for Murphy and Reid going, mentioned above, I don't think anybody would want them, and if they did, not for what we paid for them. We are going to need about 12 players to fill gaps.

I also think it's time for Bamba to move on, he's 34 now. And let's face it Danny Ward looks good for about 15 minutes every 3 months! Sadly Manga will leave, and we'll be very lucky to keep hold of Etheridge.

So we'll be left with all the players we don't really want.

A squad of Smithies, Murphy, Peltier, Bennett, Morrison, Ralls, Holiett, Mendez-Laing, Murphy, Zohore, Ward, Madine, Tomlin, Bogle, Healey. Not very good is it?

Mind you, we could win our last two games and all will be OK.

I’m sure it must be trained in to them run out as fast as possible to quickly throw it but don’t throw it stop and waste time and shout at the players because you didn’t quickly release it Marshall done exactly the same

Could easily see a team like Wolves, Everton, Watford or Leicester offering 6 or 7 mill for him, as a back up keeper to their no. 1
