Point minimum requirement
Start losing again and we will be back in the cack in no time at all

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
I didn't see the Preston game but had optimistically had it down for a 2-1 win, not expecting anything from this game but hoping!!!.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Was quietly confident of something from Preston, but once again, once we go behind we fall apart.
The WBA result will also depend on who scores first. If we do, we go on and win....otherwise its WBA's game.
Hoping for 2-0 win. WBA are beatable on the road....famous last words

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Can't see much from this one, 2-0 Baggies. Then four games which should decide our fate as looking at 3 of the last 5 we're going to do well to get more than a point between them.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
I think the match is on the red button.

That's a new thing (only saying the app). Fixtures used to have a distinct Red Button logo / notification along side them.

I don't think it was really a cas EOF us falling apart, more that Preston have an excellent defensive record and usually go on to win if they go ahead

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Not expecting much but again not one of the games we need to win. Draw would be nice.
Huddesfield, Stoke, Rotherham, Blackpool, Swansea is where we need points. I thought 46 would be the target, might even be 44 now as nobody can win at the bottom.

City haven't drawn yet in eight games under Lamouchi, so a draw is definitely due.
Incredibly, West Brom have drawn just once in their last 23 Championship games and they haven't drawn away since September.
The draw is priced at 11/5 and I'm considering having few quid on it, but that would be tempting fate.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Both sides need 3 points.
Theyve lost 12 games we are home. We have to be looking at 3 points every home game.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Have faith in Lamouchi
Kipre being ruled out against his parent club is a big loss and will change the preferred formation of 3-5-2
I can see ODowda and Romeo flanking McGuinness and Ng
Five across the middle with Kaba on his own up front
2-1 City 😘👍

Or keep the formation which has seen our improvement and slot Simpson in.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
I think he will keep 532. Will be interesting though who starts. Hopefully Wickham fit. Picked Kaba over Etete simply because he carries a goal threat even though he does little otherwise.
Romeo Ng Simpson Mc Guinness ODowda
Sawyers Ralls Wintle
Wickham Kaba
As I said earlier, the first team to score wins.
City 2-0

I'd rather us take our chances with just Ng and McGuinness than have Simpson start, may as well start the game 1-0 down if he's playing.

Either way, be it bad luck or bad performances he's certainly a bad omen for us.

Would like to see Philogene in there but thought defensively Romeo was the better option as Cedric out.

No way that side scores 2!
Need big Phil in the team, him and O'Dowda (and possibly Oj0) our only creative 'make it happen' players.

Draw it is then.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
There is no way Simpson won't cost us a goal. There is a player in there but he's very inconsistent within 90 minutes let alone game to game. His concentration isn't the best.
Be delighted with a point.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
I'll take a draw. Still think this is going down to the last couple of games. Not sure we can pull away from 4th bottom, so just hope none of the bottom 3 go on a decent run.

Blackpool are battering QPR

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
We have got to match Blackpools 3 points tonight or at least get a point
It's stating the obvious but another bad run could be our nemesis
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread

- West Brom have lost their last four away matches in the Championship, conceding at least two goals in each defeat (9 in total).
- West Brom's John Swift has been involved in five goals in seven starts against Cardiff in the Championship, scoring three and assisting two.

Very big four days, four points would be fantastic, we need three at Rotherham as it's a six-pointer.

Yes 4 point from the next 2 would be fantastic

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
Sadly without Kipre and by the looks of things Wickham, it will be a 1-0 defeat for us. Really can't see us getting anything out of the game without those two. Hopefully I am proved wrong though

We've been consistently below-average all season. What's the odds on none of the bottom 3 getting a bit of form for 3 or 4 games ?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread
i hate playing wba... hope they not to strong for us, they are bound to turn it on...
at least a point... but wishing for more
