Ginger Monster - James Collins
Rumour on social media that he is about to be released by WHU. Their fans in meltdown. An area of the pitch where we are very strong. However, a premier League centre back of his experience surely could be of benefit for the forthcoming season.

Past his best.
Are we the only club who constantly talks about re-signing old players?

Let me say, I am not convinced myself as he is injury prone and has a clanger in him most games. However, I think he is the sort of defender who would appeal to our gaffer. Leeds fans said similar things about Bamba prior to his signing and he didn't turn out to bad! As my Twitter feed was in overdrive with unhappy hammers thought I would put it out there to stimulate a response to help alleviate the boredom of the Mrs watching the wedding :hehe::hehe:

He's past it. He couldn't turn on a roundabout.

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
He’s definitely a Warnock style centre half. Not sure we’d get any better as back up. I’d welcome him.
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
If it is true he would be a fantastic addition to the squad. We need experienced players like him who would be great for the dressing room atmosphere and he wouldn't cost that much surely.

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
I think its the WHU board that needs releasing. McClaren????

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
Ooops!! Sorry it was QPR :getscoat:

Not even by blowing in its ear?

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
I heard Toshack's available on a free.
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
Not needed. I think warnock is more than happy with the 3 we have.
Unless Jagielka becomes available maybe.

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
Don't need any freeloaders
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
Is Jason Perry available?

Toshack can't be much worse than some of our taller players.
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
Finest Welsh defender since Ratcliffe, and if fit, would certainly do a job for us, however his best playing days are obviously behind him.
A great leader on and off the pitch, could maybe be our manager in a few years, him and Bellers together would be interesting.

What about Ashley Williams?

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
He couldn't lace The Ginger Peles boots!
Besides, he's not Welsh anyway.

Just enjoying our promotion, the jacks relegation, and Williams shortcomings being brutally exposed. What a season!

Was waiting for this, you never dissapoint!

Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
I’d welcome him home as back up centre back to replace Connelly as he has a lot of Premier League experience and is a Warnock type no nonsense player!

Depends on wages. In essence, we'd be signing someone who would be 5th choice centre back behind Morrison, Bamba, Manga and Connolly.

Davies is the only one who comes slightly close at the moment, hopefully he will go on to be one of our best ever in time.

He'd just be behind Morrison in my opinion, and streets ahead of Connolly.

You think Williams is Welsh?....... And better than Collins? .......Wow.
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
He'll be 35 in August and probably expecting a premier league wage.
Would have been a brilliant signing for s 5 years ago, but makes no sense now
-
Re: Ginger Monster - James Collins
West Ham apparently emailed him an attached letter telling him he was no longer wanted.

According to Gabbidon this is untrue.
