FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
Talk in Sheffield that Carlos Carvalhal has one game to save his job
Well tonight they play the leaders and Carvalhal has a touch line ban
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Seventeen nil to Real Wolves , thats with them down to 8 men after 15 minutes , Wednesday having 11 on loan players from man City / Chelsea playing , the wind against the Wolves in both halves ,and the Owls allowed to reduced the size of the goal posts by 25%

:-) This.
And if only Freddie were still with us - he would surely love to have re-recorded his classic.

Does Loovens still play at wednesday? Loved him when at the city

Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Sheffield Wednesday v Wolves Friday.
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Those latinos wont be looking forward to a cold night up north.
Could see an upset tonight and their continuing Wolves slump.
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
I'm hoping for a draw too between these majestic football playing teams.

They keep saying Diogo Jota is the best player ever to play in the championship and one of the best sides ever...
Overstated much? I never want anyone to get injured but would like to see Wolves with as many absentees as us

Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
We're just thugs, they are stylish and classy.
So Bennett knees Rhodes off the ball.
EDIT: And then Bennett fouls him minutes later. Gets yellow - should have been sent off already.
EDIT2: Then another foul given against Bennett on Rhodes...
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Wednesday not taken their chances. Wolves unimpressive apart from the goal.
Ryan Bennett should have been sent off.
Wolves can't be as bad in the 2nd half. I think Wednesday have probably missed their chance to take a point or three.

Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Quality goal from a quality player it has to be said
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Nice finish to be fair, but this is the only time I’ve seen them since we took them apart and other than that Wednesday have done a job on them. From what I’ve seen I don’t think they’ll score against us and we’ll outwork them and win 1-0 but quite comfortably

Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
I think Carvalhal has decided to abandon tippy-tappy (not that they could pass water!) and is going for aerial route one stuff.
It might even work.

Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
Safe to say based on this display, not going to be too many Wolves fans proclaiming how great they are. Apart from the deluded ones that is. Oh....
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
i just watched last 10 mins to see two cynical wolves fouls and a possible claim for a penalty against them for a body check and time wasting claiming a whack in the face.
and wednesday down to 10 men.
-
Re: Wednesday v Wolveselona tonight
According to the stats wolves commited 12 fouls had 3 players booked and had one shot on target. Some mistake surely?

That flattered them.

Re: FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
Good result for them up there and that's all that matters in the end. I wouldn't mind wolves running away with the league as long as they're beating the teams around us and not us that is
-
Re: FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
11 points clear from 3rd:facepalm:

You don't get 51 points before half the season is over without having something special about you. I still haven't seen them play so won't pass judgement until I see them at our place. If we can stay anywhere close to them by the end of this season I'll be delighted...
-
Re: FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
Fouls, time wasting, passes back to the goalie from half way line, hoofs upfield. Seems like Wolvesalona are not quite as sophisticated as they make out and some people believe. They were outplayed but unfortunately still won which is a good sign for them but there are a number of teams easily capable of beating them in this division (Derby, Villa, Boro, Wurzels, Fulham,us) so its not a forgone conclusion. We just need someone to give them a good beating, sooner rather than later, and their confidence could be hit badly.

Re: FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
Shall we all accept that they have bought the title and move on ,
if we go up we claim we won it on merit not as a commercial entity .

Have they spent the most this season?

Best of luck with your chase for the Merit title. Didn't realise that was a trophy up for grabs but suppose it gives the small time clubs something to chase for.

They are a very good side.
However some of their fans are total hypocrites. Everything they accused us of doing at their place I've seen them do plenty of in their televised games. Cynical fouls to stop the opposition on the break ( most of which they've got away with), bullying of soft opponents (Rhodes), long pints, kicking the ball away at free kicks, time wasting.
They should go up now, but they aren't as silky as they say they are and are also beatable on their day if one of the other better Championship sides click .

The 3 points away helps. Thanks.

Re: FT: Wednesday 0 - 1 Wolveselona
I'd be well happy if we get 3pts at Sheffield and I wouldn't give a toss whether we looked good or not.Posters queuing up on here to say how poor Wolves were when we all know a similar result obtained in a similar manner would have most of us doing cartwheels if it was us.
