Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
It's not like they are ten points clear
They could quite easily lose a couple of games on the trot , draw when they should have won etc
It's a long season and Cardiff city are second !!

Totally agree.....as long as we can keep ourselves in the mix I would trust NW to keep us fighting at the end of the season.

We have beaten them , other sides will beat them

Quite right.
The two teams below them - us and Sheffield - have beaten them and fairly comfortably.

Dec/Jan/Feb will be the big test, let's see how their Johnny Foreigners enjoy a nice British winter

Re: Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
They haven’t got a hard fixture in the next 6 or 7...

No fixtures are easy in this league. I hope they beat all the top teams and fall apart against the lower placed teams.
-
Re: Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
If they keep on winning (and we do ok, including beating them at home) then we’ll be in contention for a top 2 finish all season. If they keep on winning they’ll reduce the points total capability of teams below us - I’d be happy to see 2 teams (us as one of them) breakaway rather than have 7 or 8 fighting it out

You still have to train in the shitty weather and endure gloomy dark days. I'm sure a few of their lot will be wishing they were back home in Portugal

I don't understand how you can say that. They've got Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall away in those fixtures. None of those teams will roll over for them.
-
Re: Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
Last time I checked, they have lost the same number of games that we have.
They've got just two more wins than we have.
Invincible they are not.

Birmingham hate wolves almost as much as they hate villa , their fans will demand a fighting battle for this local derby
And Millwall and Wednesday are no mugs

How many times over the years have we looked at fixtures for ourselves and thought, guaranteed 3 points, just to come unstuck.
Happens to everybody in this league.

I know we were hardly Barcelona when we went up, but we lost to Peterborough twice didn't we? Wolves will certainly lose games and get the odd draw to boot, I agree.
Still think they have enough to win the league as it looks so far, but I'm honestly only going to look behind us. If wolves slip and we capitalise then bonus.

I remember us being four up at Peterborough and they got a point ?

They should’ve had all 3 points at the end.

Listening to that on the radio was a harrowing experience. God knows how terrible that journey must've been...

The worse thing was all 8 goals was the other end, it was a strange journey home and Peterborough feels like a million miles away

The worst thing about the day mate was many of us guessed it would be 4-4 at half time!!!
On top of losing a 4-0 lead the heaters packed up on the bus so we all almost froze on the way home!

Just checked. 89 and 92 minute goals..
One or 2 that came back said the same sort of thing. The disappointment turned to all of us taking the piss out of Cardiff, was quickly forgotten (in the night at leasf)

I've been to Lisbon golfing in October and March and the weather was shit , heavy rain and not much warmer.
-
Re: Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
The winter here isn’t even that bad anymore.
More mild than it’s ever been, temperatures regularly in double figures and sub-zero temps are not that frequent anymore.

I'm currently staying near Lisbon. 22c and sunny today.

Re: Wolves will have a bad run , they are not invincible
It was cold, wet and windy on Wednesday night, the type of conditions where people said they will struggle, but they blew Leeds away.
Wolves will win the league at a canter. 2nd is up for grabs.

I've been thinking this as well when people are saying wait til the winter etc. Pretty sure they have one too..it's not like North Scotland either. It's a bit of rain, run around a bit and you get warm. Sure fixture congestion might have an effect, but that effects everyone. Wolves will win the title IMO.

Oh well. World's all warm again, except where wolves play in the winter..that's gonna be extremely hard and cold.

Wolves fan here. Just wanted to thank you guys as that early season roughing up you gave us has been fantastic for us in the medium term. The new lads didn't have a scooby what the Championship can be like (and how poor refs can be), but since that game they've adapted quickly and taken the anti-football sides in their stride. To the ease that we're already 9 points clear of the nearest real contender.
Thanks again
PS nice to see Colin is a fan of Wolvesalona too

I wonder if some managers will look at how they have been beaten by us, the blades and QPR and try to replicate it now that Wolves are putting lesser teams to the sword.
I think that Ipswich, Brum and Millwall will fancy their chances if they can play the Cardiff City way.
Sheff Wed and Sunderland (now) may not be push overs either.
However Cardiff must not worry about Wolves, just keep performing as well as they can.

You have a tough run, let's see what your boys are made of when they've got to play through the Christmas period. Foreign players in their first season historically find it tough to adapt to 3/4 games in a week, in the cold and when lumps are getting kicked out of them. If Wolves are still 4 points or more clear come January 3rd, they'll walk it.
