Snow is early, rain falling most of the day, will wash it all away.

I hope you all have a safe journey despite the weather. Hopefully no postponement this time.

Bit concerned about this rain. Hopefully pitch not waterlogged.

Christ , that stand looks almost vertical !
Really don’t need this game called off. Would take a point today.

Mark, Chris, Christ ... this thread is confusing, or calling on a higher being!

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
The way the results have gone, a win will take Sheff Utd into the play offs, not what we wanted.
-
Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
Reckon this will be our trickiest game of all the ones left, even villa, who are almost resigned to the playoffs anyway. We should pick points up at Norwich who have fallen apart and derby.
-
Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
if that happens, jursett will emigrate (hopefully). if we win, jursett will emigrate (hopefully)
-
Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
I’d take a point now, a win however would be brilliant!

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
Does anyone else get a pre match headache? Like the one you get when your wife cuddles up to you late at night?
Because I do. Just had to take paracetamol.

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
I’m not going to miss this even though I’ll be up until 3.30 am.
I was too tense for the brentford game but I’m wound up like a tightly wound up simile thing for this game against Sheffield

It wasn't if Boro won today :hehe:
But yes, feeling a bit nervous with an hour to go.

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread

Sheffield United need to win either way, I can't see them playing for a draw :-)

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
Clarke is so hit and miss he could either score a hat trick or not have a touch.
More worried about us getting the ball if we need to go for the win. Hopefully will be able to put Moore under pressure at set pieces but he’s good enough to cope.
Very tough game.

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
I think we have enough to control the midfield, will be a tough test but I have confidence we can do it

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
last time and only time I went to Bramall Lane was in April 1971 (only 47 years ago). Went up on my own from Cardiff on the train. It was a cricket ground, like loads of empty green space. I think we may have scored first, maybe not? Lost 5-1. somebody stole my bobble hat on the way back to the station. I have so been waiting for revenge. Tonight I am going for a 0-3 (but would be very scared if it's a 1-5)

Have seen some dramatic games there. Seen us get done 5-3 (I think it was) but more dramatic was a 4 - 3 win, Whitt's got a hat trick and they had a goal dis-allowed in added time.

Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
Brooks will be thriving in a game like this. Could be a big danger to us if he gets a bit of time and space.
-
Re: SHEFFIELD UNITED v CARDIFF CITY: Match thread
Missing a lot of tackles, passing is non existent.
