Football first, rugby second, then any other sport Wales are involved in.

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
Great win in difficult conditions in which we really struggled in the first half, 1 done 2 to go come on city and TB12 :ayatollah:

Ireland will beat England tomorrow by 10+ Points

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
My language tonight has been industrial especially when Barnes ruled out Ross Moriarty’s try. Anyway a brilliant fightback. Ten wins on the bounce. Get the **** in.

Looking good for Japan mate although I will put some money on Ireland winning it in the summer we’ve definitely got a chance. I remember gatland was up penygraig labour for a Q and A early last year and he was confident we could win the World Cup at the time I laughed :hehe:

Very harsh decision he could’ve let it go and gone back for the TMO

We absolutely have a chance. Loads of depth. Look at all the injuries. No Leigh Halfpenny, Ellis Jenkins, Arron Shingler, Dan Lydiate, Taulupe Faletau, James Davies, Scott Williams etc etc.

That’s exactly what we said. If there was an obstruction it was incredibly marginal.
-
Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
Put a fiver on Wales at half time, 7/1. Delighted.

Speaking of Faletau we really missed him in those pressure scrums at the end he would’ve just immediately picked the ball ip and gone through the next phase and why didn’t we just go to the front of that last line out  I was very animated at that point :hehe:

Losing that last line out was infuriating. Davies was also too slow getting the ball out from the base of the scrum near the end . We have to start Biggar ahead of Anscombe who is too flaky and can’t be relied on to kick his penalties. Tomas Williams was a bit hit and miss but improved as the game went on. Tipuric my MoTM. His tackling was superb and he was so quick around the pitch.

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
How did Wales manage to win that ?, I think that might be the poorest I've seen Wales play but still manage to win.
-
Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
thinking the same trampie think the poor weather conditions didn't help
the kicking was woefull by both sides
noticed so many empty seats in the ground tonight too . is that because of a Friday night or weather conditions or france has fallen out of love with rugby ?

Poor performances from both teams, that's how.

France did a “France”

Tipuric and Nevidi were brilliant, is patchell injured? I can’t believe anyone could think hanscombe is better than him. We really need to get Webb back in it’s just nonsense these rules which don’t really benefit the regions anyway

By the letter of the law it was a penalty. Piccamoles was not part of the ruck but 9 times out of 10 you would probably get away with it.

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
I thought that Moriarty disallowed try was harsh, not necessarily wrong, but 9 times out of 10 I'm sure that try would have stood.

It’s not really designed to help the regions but to ensure that Wales have complete control over their core squad of players and the amount of games they play, training etc. Players at clubs in England are flogged week in week out and the training in France is seemingly not of the intensity of the UK.
Looks like Webb may be back in the summer anyway as his wife and kids have moved back to Wales.

Yep Patchell is also injured and of course Webb can no longer play. I wonder when push comes to shove Webb may end up in the World Cup party. We have incredible depth in the back row. When you think Thomas Young barely gets a look in even with all these injuries.

Yep and his return to one of the regions would be perfect timing.

I thought Barnes rushed the decision and could have gone to the TMO. It didn’t cost us the game but it did mean we missed out on a bonus point for scoring four try’s.

Disagree.
It'll be as touch and go as tonight. No matter how strong Ireland are, England will always be formidable.
However, a win like that for Wales tonight is a tournament winning result.

I agree, a marginal decision and more often than not would not be penalised. Should have been a try or at worst, referred to TMO

I agree too.
However, the game management close to half time was awful and Sanjay must have realised it was maybe a knock on. FFS take a drop kick conversion quickly.

Of course I wouldn’t be surprised if England nicked a win I just think for a change Ireland are too strong upfront and too cute at back
-
Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
I thought the ball was very slippery, and doesnt bounce properly, the players are very muddy as well.

You just had Ireland to win by two scores?

Have you ever considered a career in rugby analysis?

Re: Come on City!..Come on Wales!
Plus its time for Jiffy to retire.
He's beyond biased. An embarrassment to the BBC in as much as Inverdale is.
